Have stayed here for years! Family owned and managed. They cook an awesome breakfast, take you to the ski mountain (you don't have to park at the mountain, take a shuttle, trudge with your stuff. They pick you up from the mountain, take you back, feed you snacks. Then into the hot tub while they prepare an wonderful dinner and... More

This place has adequate rooms and bathrooms. No TV in the rooms, but that's ok with me. It feels homey, like you are visiting your grandparents' house that has the original furnishings. We played ping pong and pool in the game room, they had games and legos too. We didn't use the pool but it was warm. It was quiet,... More

Service is awesome. The place don't have A/C but it didn't bother me nor my daughter (1 yr old). We only stayed one night. It was our last mother/daughter outing before my son would be born. It is a great place for children. When I am in Winter Park I will book my stay here. If you want a good... More

I'm not the guy who usually writes reviews. I USE reviews and then plan vacations on others insight. This is the first hotel/lodge where I felt inclined to write a review! Anyway, son and I did 10 day mt. biking trip around the rockies. We stayed here for three nights and the service was awesome. The place was really quiet... More

Admittedly the Holzwarths moved to Colorado the same year (1974) I moved from Kentucky and I went to high school with all three of the kids (now middle-aged) who all work at the Lodge now (and did then). So perhaps I'm biased, but I don't think so because every time I stay there with my family now, including this week,... More

This place is nothing fancy. it has a home like feeling which makes sense since it is a family run business. A great cooked to order breakfast included. The lodge is walking distance to downtown, where there are some great places to eat.

We have stayed here for several years in a row during ski season and it never disappoints. It's a family owned and operated inn, charming, fabulous breakfasts and dinners, great common areas---TV room, living room with fireplace always going in the evenings, huge game room, hot tub and small pool, etc. Each year we meet lovely people---we could never go... This family-owned lodge is a great place to stay - we have been doing so since 1995. Price includes room, breakfast, dinner, free shuttle to and from Winter Park ski resort, and much more. Food is fabulous, there is an indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, game room, and full service bar. Great place for families.

I stayed here with family recently for one night, and it was quite nice. The rooms are not fancy, but spacious. The highlight is the rec room downstairs with ping pong table, billiards, and other games. Also they serve a nice full breakfast in the morning and are all very friendly and entertaining. Would definitely come back.

This place is great!! Family owned since the mid-70s, cozy, very clean and well maintained, comfy beds with 4 pillows per bed, large rooms (stayed in room 111, upstairs, 2 queens, desk, dresser, 2 luggage racks, and plenty of towels). We were there for one of WP's summer music festivals and the owners let us leave our car in their... More
