We have been coming here for years,it has had its good and bad era's but it is better kept up now than in the past! We had a cabin near the lake, very small but adequet, a few bugs, nice fire pits at each cabin and camp site! The best part was the fishing ,we caught a lot of fish and cooked... More

We went for a peaceful weekend with mother nature. Ended up being stuck in a crowded campground. I made reservations for 2 spots due to the size of our camper the spots are too small. The spots are too close together there's no privacy. Our neighbors weren't friendly and about 20 or more people in their spot. You couldn't fish... More

Recently stayed for a family reunion. On several occasions family members came to our site to visit bringing their dogs. We were assessed a $250 fee for having an pet even though we did not bring one.

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. Not too crowded for a holiday. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but sparse on amenities. There is no cell phone or TV reception, so naturally, no TV in the room. Rooms have a wood burning fireplace, but you need to bring your own wood and if you're non-smokers like we are, bring something... More

My family went here and rented a cabin with a cooktop. We have a small baby so I'm not up for tent camping yet. There are rats and chipmunks, but I went with the mindset of camping so I just brushed it off and keep the food put away in a sealed container. The hiking around the grounds and the... More

My family has stayed here almost yearly every summer for as long as I can remember while camping. People comment about strict rules, well there are bears in the area. Keep food etc put away and no problems Shower house is old, but has hot water and small laundry area. For me and camping, it's just fine. Bad comments about... More

Too much to say, I love the Mountains! Monument Lake has been my family outing/getaway every summer since mid '90's. We camped in tents our first years and upgraded to our camper every visit since. The kids love exploring there and fishing. Expect a visit from the Bears and ground squirrels and Hummingbirds. We always make the adventure of the... More

My family rented a campsite for Labor Day weekend, to ensure we had a spot, one member of our party went there a day early and paid for everyone's camping fees. The website says camping is $20 per day, but nothing about $20 per tent, per campsite. We took three tents between 2 couples and a teenager. The website says... More

We got a room for two nights in the lodge. A couple of hours after we checked in we had an emergency come up at home and inquired about getting a refund for the second night as we would need to head home. Even for emergencies their policy is no refund. Not only that, but not even an "I'm sorry... More

beware rude staff outdated service. Try stonewall instead!! This place is outdated! Stay away! Not only were the rooms old and dirty the front office failed to acknowledge it's their fault it's not clean! Staff then blamed customer for issues. Also very strict rules for pets and camping equip. Very expensive for old buildings and bad staff try somewhere else... More
