I liked staying here and will stay here again. The room and bathroom were very clean, quiet, and comfortable. I did not hear any trains but that could be because my husband sleeps with a c-pap machine. Our room was spacious for an older "mom & pop" motel. The owners are on property and very nice. There is no free... More

Great folks. Bend over backward to help. Inexpensive yet clean and friendly. Walsenburg is a cute town with lots of antiquing and small mom and pop shops. Great swimming hole on the outskirts of town and the mountains are just a 15 minute drive away.

Traveling to another part of the State of Colorado, my husband and I decided to stop since it was getting late. The people are very friendly and helpful, and told us up front that the room was small, and it was a smoking room. We are non-smokers, and normally a little smoke smell doesn't bother me. I went in the... More

We needed a cheap place to stay overnight on short notice and this place was perfect. When I called at 9:50pm the owner stated the office closed at 10pm and we were still about 20 minutes out but she said she would stay open until we got there. The only concern was if the A/C was going to work or... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night when traveling from Houston to Denver. I did my research using Trip Advisor and all reviews were excellent, so we chose to stay here for a night. Very nice staff that assisted us with check in. Rooms may be small but exceptionally clean. Microwave and refrigerator were a welcome surprise. Bathroom... More

The facilities were very clean! It is a nicely updated, older motel. It is just what we always hope to find on our tours. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This was one of our best finds! We highly recommend it.

A very nice motel, in a small town. A nice job of renewing an older hotel. We like to stay at the "mom and pop, older style motels", brings back memories of times gone by. The room was large with two very comfortable queen beds. Everything clean and very quiet area. Staff very friendly and helpful. We first stopped at... More

I can't say enough about the great people that run the Anchor Motel in Walsenburg, CO. I had occasion to stay during a personal emergency- They were caring, understanding, and very helpful... The property has a great charming feeling and I definitely recommend this motel.
