We were originally booked at the Sonnenalp Hotel, but they decided they couldn't "accomodate" us because we booked at a discounted rate through Expedia. Therefore, Sonnenalp bumped us off their reservation so they can get more $$$ from folks who directly booked. Well, all I can say is Sonnenalp's loss is Marriott's gain. Loved the hotel, loved what they had... More

We too were victims of the "We're have no kings available," after I had specifically requested a king bed and a late checkout when I made the reservation two weeks prior. When I called the front desk after spending the night to see if we could get a late checkout, the clerk didn't even check; she just immediately answered, "We... More

We arrived on a Friday evening for a one night stay and had requested a king bed. We were greeted by a bored front desk person in an empty lobby who checked us in and did not tell us that our king bed request could not be honored. We got to the room and found two double beds. When we... More

This property is in a great location. Lionshead is the place to stay in vail. Close to shopping nightlife. We have a fireplace room with a balcony facing the mountain which i would highly recommend. It was a large room with a kitchenette which had a sink, small fridge and a microwave. Great helpful staff. Fun bar even during the... More

This hotel is so unique..it makes you feel you are at your own house. The decor in the rooms are cozy with bathrooms large enough for two people. The best part of the trip was having breakfast at the balcony enjoying the amazing view to the mountain. My kids and I couldn't had a better time for out Christmas trip.... More

As is typical with a Marriott property the staff was attentive friendly and helpful. The property is showing a little bit of wear but the staff more than made up for it. Awesome recommendations and friendliness. From the initial meeting of the valet to the desk and housekeeping it was a great experience.

Very nice Marriott hotel. Near shops and view of mountains. They have some bigger rooms with balconies and fireplaces. Nice to upgrade to these if you can. Close to sky areas if you are interested in this.

To be clear, this hotel is more expensive than I would typically like but it was a special occasion. Service was exemplary and never forced or fake feeling. Rooms were good size and well appointed and very clean. I would liked a mountain view but they were very full and I was low on the list. Location is perfect. Close... More

I am a Marriott platinum, used my points to stay here one night. Hotel is beautiful, just few min away from the Lionshead main attraction. Though the website says they charge resort fee, there was no charge for that. You can use the Lionshead main parking lot, which is 3-4 minutes walk from the hotel, you don't have to use... More

Your staff out did themselves! Hotel was full but they managed to upgrade us to a suite an hour before arrival to accommodate our tag along kids, everything was clean! Excellent food and bar staff. Although the bar did shut down at midnight on a Thursday night because they said we "had had enough". (Which we had, agree). They did... More
