This is a very nice hotel in the heart of Vail. They explained over the phone that my room was over the bar and it would be noisy. The noise was not from the bar, but from the street. Things would settle down at 2:00 AM when the last bar closed (Aspen is not this noisy, the cops wouldn't allow... More

Lots of Austrian food in Vail as Pepe the owner here basically founded the place in 1964. He also was the head of the ski patrol too so legendary figure in Vail. The place is literally in the heart of old Vail Village and the place is always popular. The bar always has live music and the drinks well priced... More

My family and I stayed at the Gasthoff Gramshammer for 12 nights and loved our stay. The front desk staff, especially Adrian, was super friendly and efficient, the rooms are SOOO clean and tidy, the breakfast buffet, that is included in the rate, is healthy and balanced, with oats, eggs, fruits, cheeses, ham, bagels and muffins, as well as juices,... We stayed here for three nights and found the property to be good value considering location (Vail) and amenities. It's very conveniently located in the middle of the village for shopping and restaurants. The room size is standard but it has a good sized deck which gives the feel of a larger, more open space. It has a coffeemaker but... More

Vail is pretty expensive and some of the places we researched were incredibly expensive. This hotel was well rated but was 0.8km from city center. But the location was perfect. Right in the shop and restaurant area. I can't imagine the more expensive places were that much better situated. The hotel is clean and well furnished. Beds were great. Service... More

Gru$$ Gott, Don't want to repeat what's already been said but this is in a great location and the hotel has clearly been around a while but is fairly well maintained. We had room on the west side which I would think might get a bit warm in the summer but was no issue for us recently. Bed was very... More

The Gasthof is tucked right in Vail Village, and is a great spot! It is a very nice, small boutique hotel, reasonably priced. We were there in July and the flowers were beautiful. The patio at the bar was a great place to relax and watch people, etc. The staff was excellent - very friendly and helpful with whatever we... More

This hotel is right in the middle of Vail Village. Lovely European style hotel with great staff and service. Good breakfast is included. Fall is my favorite time in the Colorado mountains-not as many people and the weather is perfect with cool evenings and warm days. This hotel has a great restaurant and bar attached with live music.

We have eaten here many times during ski trips to Vail - that culinary delight was our only contact with the total package that exists here in the form of an Austrian gasthof. We have known the history of Pepi Gramshammer and his wife Sheika for many years. This year we planned to spend 3 days at their gasthof so... More

We stayed here for 1 night with our 2 sons. When we arrived we were were offered an upgrade as the room allocated had a problem with balcony door. Although there was an additional charge of $30 for the room they waived the parking charge which was fair. We had a large car (Ford Expedition) and were concerned it might... More
