I had the pleasure of being in Vail on business in June and was a first time guest at the Lodge At Vail. The location in Vail Village is amazing. The hotel seemed nice upon check in and I was excited to get to my room. It was a small king room but the size was fine for just me.... more
We just got back from our second trip to Vail. It was the 2nd time we stayed at the Lodge in Vail and both times we were not disappointed. My husband proposed to me while on our 1st trip and we eloped in Vail on our 2nd trip. The service from the employees at the Lodge was incredible. They tended... more
This hotel's website makes the property look like a luxurious 5 star hotel. Its more in the range of a 2 star. It badly needs updating and remodeling. The studio we stayed in had a couch that was scary to sit on. The throw pillows should have been thrown out! The lamp shade was too small for the lamp and... more

Unless you get a great deal don't choose this property. While the location is good, the rooms are not. The studios are old, the beds uncomfortable, sofa, bathrooms are in disrepair. The service and staff (especially concierges) are terrible. We booked a package the property was advertising. The extra activities were not organized with the providers, which caused constant confusion... more

We drove up from Colorado Springs to meet up with family who were already staying at the hotel. Beautiful 2 bedroom, 2-story suite. Well-appointed. Formal Dining table, Full kitchen (microwave, range, oven, full fridge, dishwasher, sink). Balcony. Wood-burning fireplace. Excellent location in Vail Village gives you quick access to shopping, restaurants & lifts. Although, we mainly went over to Lionshead... more
I stayed at the Lodge for two night this past weekend. I would stay again. Staff was pleasant and helpful, the room was nicely decorated with nice touches, such as a heated towel rack, slippers and bathrobe. They even deliver the Sunday NY Times. I booked through Priceline (I requested a 3.5 star hotel and bid $115 and got it!)... more
We arrived at the Lodge not expecting much based upon the reviews but were pleasantly surprised. We had the studio room with a murphy bed - which scared us at first. However each night turndown service took the bed down and each morning housekeeping put it back up. It was pretty comfortable too. Location to the slopes and into town... more
I've stayed at the Lodge twice. Both times I left thinking the only reason the hotel survives is because of their location in the village and proximity to the base of the mountain. The service is very mediocre, especially considering the cost. The concierge service is very unprofessional and make you feel uncomfortable for asking for help. On my most... more
The only other time I stayed at the Lodge at Vail was in Christmas 1988, when I was 14 years old. Having loved the experience then, my wife and I decided to return for a late winter ski trip. I chose the hotel primarily because of its unparalled location just steps from the Vista Bahn lift at the main Vail... more
