My wife and I stayed at this magnificent resort the day prior to me having surgery. Upon checking in they upgraded us to one of the most amazing rooms we have stayed in. We ended up staying an additional night after my discharge from the hospital. We live in a ski resort town 100 miles away and know a thing... More

This place is located in the heart of Vail right next to the Gondola. It makes for an easy morning commute to the mountain (about 2.5 minutes). We sprung for a room with a porch that overlooked the base trails (Pepi's Face, etc.) and are glad we did. We spent a lot of time on the porch taking in the... More

Cannot beat the location of The Lodge at Vail. We walked right out the back door of our renovated room for a short short walk to the gondola; literally on the other side of the Lodge. The Lodge is beautiful and service was fast, friendly and helpful. They have a ski concierge at the base of the mountain that was... More

Dear stoxabc, I appreciate the great review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the location and the service we provide. Thank you for the mention of our ski concierge team. I think it’s great to never have to touch your skis from the time you arrive until you depart except when you’re on the mountain. Hope you had a great trip... More

When you pay this much money per night and they consistently get your reservation wrong then you end up in a room similar to a Motel 6 you don't come away with a very good taste in your mouth. They should do a much better job informing people of what to expect when they arrive.

Dear Jimi E, Thank you for the time to do a review. I apologize that the Lodge did not meet your expectations. I will share the review with our reservations team as a training tool to make sure we are describing the rooms accurately. If you do have an extra moment and could describe the issues a little more I... More

We stayed at the lodge for 4 days in December, first we were given a pretty simple room with no views (booked online) but after having a couple of plumbing issues we were upgraded to a larger, luxurious room facing the outdoor fireplace. It's in a great location with most of Vail's shops and restaurants at a walking distance. They... More

Dear Texelena, Thank you for taking the time to do a review. I'm glad we got you in the right room and you were able to enjoy the area. I do agree that when you come to the mountains it is always nice to have a view of the mountains. The nice thing about Vail is you can't go anywhere... More

Stayed here with a friend for a couple days of skiing. We both loved it. They could not make it much more convenient for skiing. The hotel is about 100 yards from the gondola and they have a spot to leave your skis right there. The center of town is just as close. The pool and Jacuzzis are excellent. Staff... More

From the staff to the location the Lodge at Vail was spectacular. The front desk staff and especially the bellmen wereable to cater to every need and request with a smile and a, "My pleasure". They always asked how you were, how your day was and made you feel at home or at least at a good friend's home. The... More

The location is practically at the base of the mountain. You can open the door and it won't take you long to get to the mountain or to restaurants and shops in Vail Village. Some rooms have a partial view of the mountain, but many rooms will offer a view of the parking lot. Our room had been renovated. It... More

Dear CodiChina, Thank you for the time to do a review. I appreciate the "EXCELLENT!" comment about the staff. We make a big deal of these acknowledgements. As a note on breakfast, we do vary our pricing for our A La Carte menu to try and give more options and price points for our guests so people don't always have... More

From the moment we arrived, my family and I felt welcome. The valets, Chris and Ryan were very friendly; and management staffer, Jeff O'Brien, was extremely helpful. I stayed here about a decade ago and was pleasantly surprised to see that the decor has been updated. It is very tasteful and upscale. One example: the large screens displaying temperature and... The hotel is fabulous, staff is friendly and helpful, location is fabulous, but daily resort fee/parking was $55+ per day. The fee wasn't disclosed when we booked on Expedia or upon check-in. I expected a parking fee but was shocked at the high resort fee on top of it.
