This was the cheapest hotel within walking distance of the lift, actually it was a lot cheaper than the rest. We weren't looking for a fancy place, just somewhere to sleep between days of skiing & this was perfect. The staff was friendly, didn't even charge for parking since they weren't busy & upgraded us to a nicer room for... More

It really is the very best deal that is less than 200 paces from the best of the two gondolas. It does not hide the fact that it is a budget option - I expected the dated decor, no room service, less than great cleanliness. I didn't expect hearing the freeway noise. (Pay to get a mountainside view - not... More

Stayed here for one night on a business trip. You get what you pay for in Vail. My colleague and I were given keys to room 4 and 5. There was no heat in room 5. When she called the front desk for help he brought 2 floor heaters. Apparently he had been aware of this problem. They moved her... More

This hotel is not top of the line, which I knew going into it. Vail is an expensive city, and Lionshead Inn is affordable. However, the shower was cold half the time, we had problems with the toilet, and to top it off, there were some dirty beer cans in a loft in our room. We were put in the... More

We were surprised at some of the negative comments. Apparently the property is going to be sold and redeveloped so they haven't done much to upgrade the facility or the Vail-Glo which is located next door.. But who cares. Rooms were clean, location to the slope is great, price is very good, and the hot tub is always on. After... More

Money doesn't go very far at Vail so Lionhead Inn is actually one of the best deals in town. The location is superb; minutes to downtown Lionshead and a very short walk to the slopes (5 minutes). Furthermore, it is located directly across from the shuttle that will take you into Vail Village. The shuttle runs regularly. We never had... More

Very straightforward, basic Inn with an excellent location in Lionshead (west part of Vail). It is a few minutes walk to the gondola which is what makes it great for a ski stay. No restaurant at the Inn but many are in the vicinity. Plus, a free bus whisks you to the centre of Vail in about 5 minutes, or... More

We stayed at the Lionshead Inn second week in January. There were three adults in our party. We were there for skiing and a bit of relaxing. We were in a studio unit with a mountain view. It contained a queen bed and queen sofabed. This is an older property. From what I understand this is the last season they... More

I have traveled hither and yon, far and near and have never come across a hotel of the likes of the Lionshead Inn in Vail Colorado. The friendly front desk staff (especially Mr. Williams) assisted me to my room with the utmost professionalism. If you are looking for great concierge services.....look to the always informative Mr. Santanta. His east coast... More
