We booked this resort through the American Express Platinum card Fine Hotels and Dinning program. American Express only brings in 4 star luxury hotels into this program. The Vail Cascade Resort is the first major disappointment we've had in 9 years using this program. Our "Deluxe" $650/night room was shabby, poorly maintained, with paper thin walls. There was zero storage... More

Having visited Vail many times in the winter and in the summer, I thought I would give a fall weekend a try and decided to stay at The Cascade. What a great choice! I called the hotel directly to book the rooms and from check-in to check-out it was perfect - not a single complaint. I booked two rooms for... More

Stayed at the Cascade resort and Spa for 5 nights while attending a meeting. Resort is currently undergoing extensive renovations and this coloured my experience in some areas. Check in was no problem but finding the room was a huge challenge. Following the directions I was given, I found myself at a dead end with a door marked "Authorized People... More

My husband and I stayed at the Vail Cascade for our honeymoon last December. It could not have been more perfect! The room was beautiful, the staff was exceptionally attentive, and every detail seemed perfect. We loved the fact that the resort has its own ski lift, so we didn't waste any time getting to the slopes in the morning.... More

I had a great stay at this hotel in August. The room is definitely nice - comfortable beds, nice linens, and good decor. The Aria club connected to the hotel is extremely nice. It has basketball & racquetball courts and an outstanding weight room. I was surprised that there was no additional charge. The mountainside pool was great and there... More

the hotel is very nice. the pool areas are very nice and it has some beautiful views. the restaurant had some good food. it is isolated not near anything else but that is what makes it very relaxing. overall if the price was about 200 a night i would have been ok with it Now the bad part: Vail in... The hotel was very well kept, although a little difficult to navigate at times. The outdoor pool closest to the mountain is a little small but comfortable and very relaxing because the creek runs close by and the view is of the mountain. On check in there really wasn't a place to park the car but the staff let us... More

My husband and I drove up to Vail Cascade on a Friday afternoon. We had booked a mountain view balcony room, which they had given away. Instead we were "upgraded" to a highway/construction view room. The coffee pot in our room had not been cleaned in so long that it had grown mold. Upon checkout we were charged for our... More

My husband and I lucked out with a fabulous room at the Vail Cascade Resort and Spa (room 85). I recommend requesting: 1) A corner room (provides more square footage) 2) On the ground floor (provides easier access to pools, creek, and bike trail) 3) Creek side Our room was huge with an oversized terrace to accompany the square footage... Helpful staff and good location. The room was big and very well appointed. Also, the hotel gym is amongst the best i've been to.
