We normally stay in Lionsquare village but with the art festival had to stay in town. Our room was small but just what we needed. The front desk people were super helpful and friendly. Complimentary breakfast was excellent and actually unexpected, so a bonus. Price was right and we walked right out the door to the farmer's market. I'm glad... More

Our stay at the Mountain Haus was great. Very friendly staff (Sunny) and a clean, updated condo. Next time I would stay on the Mountain side as noise from the highway forced us to keep the bedroom window closed at night. Breakfast was a nice plus. Great location steps from the covered bridge and a short walk to the lacrosse... More

I should have done my research as this place does not have AC. No need to consider that option during winter, spring or fall but we got there on 85 degree days in June. They said the room would cool down very quickly at night but it didn't get to 70 until about 4am with fans blowing in outside air.... More

Thank you for being honest and sharing your experience. From what it sounds like, your stay did not meet your expectations, as well as ours. I appreciate you providing us with detailed feedback on the issues you encountered. Many properties in Vail do not have A/C as it is not normally needed. However this June has been abnormally hot for... More

I was pleasantly surprised with our 2 BR unit, 558 (1 king, 2 twins with trundles, pullout couch). Our condo was clean and don't mind the lobby, as other reviewers made negative comments. We stayed for a lacrosse tournament in June (made the reservation in January) and although you get hit with a heat wave in the hallways, the cleaning... More

My wife and I stayed two weeks over Easter while the ski season was still in full swing. This hotel actually consists of individually owned and decorated condominiums of varying sizes. The 1BR that we stayed in is decorated like a Tyrolian Inn with carved wood panels, gas fireplace, nice appointments, and paintings. The unit is very charming and comfortable... More

Just spent 6 nights at Mountain Haus with my 14 year old daughter. Rather than being town for skiing or mountain activities, we were there for my daughter to have a surgery at VVMC/Steadman Clinic. The Mountain Haus staff could not have been nicer. Special thanks to Sunny who helped with some activity planning during my daughter's recovery period... also... More

Mountain Haus was the perfect place to stay in Vail. With the comforts of the amenities of a condo combined with useful services like a hotel such as continental breakfast as well as a pool and hot tub, it was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was so warm and welcoming and made it instantly feel like home. We... More

No doubt, the best place to stay in Vail. The staff is superb. Everybody goes out of their way to make your stay a memorable one. I have stayed at the Mountainhaus with my family many times through the years, and they have never let me down. The location and the facilities are excellent. A great breakfast is included. Daily... Wonderful. Quiet. Nicely appointed. Great apartment for a family. Direct view over Gore Creek to town, shops, restaurants and Giant Steps, and all just a walk away. Golden Peak close by bus, as is the rest of Vail. Condo 670 was perfect for 3 kids and 3 adults.

Mountain Haus is in a wonderful location and a perfect choice for families taking a ski vacation in Vail. It's easily walking distance to the base of the slopes and gondola. My family of 6 stayed in a 3 bedroom condo on the 6th floor- a corner unit. It was perfectly laid out, nice and up to date, and had... More
