This place was great. The staff was amazing and friendly. The only complaint I had was that our condo seemed a bit dark. I prefer natural sunlight. The shuttle was a great way to get to and from our ski trips. The cookies and ice cream socials were fun. My kids LOVED it here. Would totally go again.

We stayed in unit 2304 (2BR/2BA). Sandstone is not luxurious, but everything was clean, extremely comfortable and functional. Master has a king and guest room had queen and twin. Gas fireplace was cozy and kitchen well-stocked. Unit had 3 flat screen TVs w/DVD players. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is great-- shuttle very convenient. Movie library was exceptionally good!... More

Overall a solid place to stay when visiting Vail- clean, affordable, well connected to town through shuttles and buses; but this is nothing's fancy and is a little out dated. Great for families with a full kitchen and condo style places, and enough space to enjoy a night in. You are most likely in Vail to get outside, ski, and... More

This is an excellent lodging option in the town of Vail. While it is located on the opposite side of I-70 from the center of Lionshead, it is an easy walk and conveniently served by three city buses and two resort vehicles every hour. All take you directly to the best drop off areas in town. A great indoor-outdoor pool... More

First off if you are adventurous Vail is a great resort to go skiing at but you need to get out there and explore it. Sandstone is great for family of four.... it makes it reasonable and affordable with good accommodations. Great pool for the kids. .. heated perfectly during the winter. I was thoroughly disappointed by the Sandstone Creek Club unit (north of Vail). Granted, we picked it up as a timeshare exchange, so lowered our expectations as a result. Understand that Sandstone Creek is across the highway from Vail and perched just above the I-70 highway. It's close to the bus stop, etc, but you'll have to accept the LOUD... More

Sandstone facilities pretty good & the shuttle works for skiing still like most places in US need a car to get around. The condos are good albeit a little dated, but warm and comfortable, pools and other amenities also pretty good in terms of value for money, but the staff really need to work on their relationships and even pretend... The Sandstone Creek Club is a modest-sized group of condos/timeshares on the north side of I-70, about a mile-and-a-half from downtown Vail. A nice creek (Red Sandstone Creek) runs near the patios and decks of the units, providing a burbling noise that partially muffles the sounds of traffic on I-70; traffic noise is more muffled for the units farthest from... We got and “Extra Vacation Getaway” thru RCI and really enjoyed the Sandstone Creek Club. We had a 2 bedroom which worked great for our family. Had a full kitchen so we ate in most days. When you look at the pictures online you can tell this place isn’t the Ritz with its brick interior walls, but those walls and... More

Have stayed at Sandstone Creek several times. It is my place of choice in Vail. Rooms are spacious, clean and furnishing are great! My room has always had a gas fireplace...this year noticed that they have a timer on the fireplace..you can choose how long you want the fire on. Full kitchen. Twice I have had a loft...very spacious upstairs.... More
