My daughter and I stayed in Beaver Lodge cabin while hiking and rafting in the area. Our main event was climbing Mt. Elbert (the highest Colorado mountain) and Mt. Elbert Lodge is THE place to stay for that. Black Cloud Trail official trail head is about 100 yds. down the road, but the lodge has a connector trail beginning at... More

We stayed in the Trail's End cabin for 2 nights. It's rustic, but very cozy. Plenty of warm quilts for the chilly nights. No tv or internet, which was fine. The scenery is amazing. Great value. Highly recommend Mt. Elbert Lodge.

This could be a really nice place but it needs a lot of work. The carpet in the Tall Pines cabin was totally disgusting. Having to vacuum this nasty carpet prior to departure makes no sense. It should be ripped out and some type of solid flooring put in. The cabin seems to be out in the middle of the... More

Beautiful.....amazing.....if you normally live at sea level, bring or buy oxygen. Don't believe anyone that gave it less than a 5. It is completely wonderful in the summer. A blessing. From the beautiful, cool mornings through the comfortable, warm afternoons, the lodge shines! Hike Interlaken Trail. Relax. Experience God.

We rented a cabins for a week (this is unusual - most guests only stay a day or so) and used it as a base to see the area. Wonderful place to stay - Scott, the genial owner/manager does a good job of keeping it all going. Bonus in summer is that the place is swarming with hummingbirds - feeders... More

We had a large group gathering this summer and it was great for us. We used the two lodges and the Barn and we were very comfortable. We were able to gather as a whole group in either of the lodges for meals and for just hanging out. The grounds were beautiful with grasses and flowers, the pond ( which... More

I had hoped to book a cabin here but was too late so booked a room in the lodge. We were the only people in the lodge so it was like having a great big cabin to ourselves. This was the best two days of our 6 day road trip around Colorado by far. The peace, quiet and tranquility were... More

An easy drive to Aspen or to Salida, but a completely remote, rustic, scenic location. I will be making this my new home away from home. Great service, adorably rustic cabins, clean, quiet and cozy. Couldn't have asked for a better place to decompress.

Rustic Cabins in a awesome winter location. Great snowshoeing and the Elk Cabin is like a home away from home. This cabin has extra amenities like a dishwasher and Satellite TV. It's very comfortable with beautiful views of Rinker Peak off the back deck.

Our experience at mount Elbert lodge is one that will never be forgotten! There are absolutely no words to describe just how perfect it was! We stayed in the cinnamon bear cabin which invitied us with a warm and cozy feeling. We went towards the end of January to experience my first time seeing snow and I have to say... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We began as a base camp for miners back in the heyday of Colorado's mining boom and today we are a quiet get-away nestled in National Forest at the base of Colorado's highest peak. Step out of today's hectic world into a quieter time at Mt. Elbert Lodge. We have no TVs, radios or phones in our comfortable housekeeping cabins; we do have a front row seat to the Colorado Rockies. ... more   less
