We came to the end of the day at the Black Cat B&B. The housekeepers were just to get away, but there was a friendly note with information about our room. The view over the lake was spectacular beautiful. We sit till sunset on the terrace. A lot of hummenbirds around us. A room with a beautiful view! Hosts Tom... More

This was a wonderful couple from the Netherlands - we had some lively discussions over breakfast. It was fun to get a different view point of our area and we had many places in common to talk about. More

My husband and I stayed here in April 2014 for our anniversary. It's got a nice quiet view of the lake and was very relaxing. The innkeepers were friendly and let us borrow some silverware and dishes for some extra dinner we'd brought back from town. It snowed while we were there, but it was very peaceful to sit on... More

We stayed there in the winter a couple of years ago, and never got around to writing a review, but really wanted to, because we appreciated the place and the hosts so much. Not only very comfortable accomodations in a beautiful setting, with beautiful view, and very private (only 2 rooms, well separated), and great value, but what stood out... More

Thanks to Tom and Karen for a lovely stay Saturday, Oct.19th. The room was nicely furnished. The view was to die for. Breakfast was great. The conversation at the breakfast table was comfortable and fun. The directions on the website were spot on. A great stay at a great price.

We arrived late afternoon and were greeted by a woman that said she was helping run the Black Cat B & B for the owners that were away setting up another B & B. First, we were told they were moving in and it might be a little noisy that afternoon/eve and it was for several hours. Secondly, we were... More

A reply to SCR2011 I can appreciate constructive criticism but I don’t think that is what this lady is doing. I told them before they checked in that the TV satellite was delayed installation, her husband was visibly upset at that. At that point I would have gladly refunded their money and helped them find another place but after gifting... More

Thank you Ric for being such a good host and cook. Our 3 day say in your accommodations was just perfect. The privacy and comfort coupled with a fantastic view of both lakes surrounded by pristine mountains was just out of this world beautiful! Best to you with your future endeavors. Guy & Barb

I stayed at the Black Cat B&B with my husband last month after hiking Mt Elbert. We were both exhausted and extremely appreciative of the endless hot water and very comfortable beds. The view from the porch was incredible and the room was both clean and welcoming. Breakfast was by far the highlight of my trip - the Pineapple French... More

What an outstanding experience. After our lunch in Leadville we drove to The Black Cat to check in. The view was so breathtaking and our room so inviting that we cancelled plans to go into Leadville for dinner. We just ate sandwiches and sat on the porch enjoying the cool mountain air and the beautiful scenery . Such a tranquil experience.... More

I stayed at the Black Cat for 3-nights while attending a min-class reunion in Twin Lakes. The rooms are nicely appointed and the views of the lakes are breathtaking. Ric is a fantastic host and his breakfasts are simply over the top: delicious and beautiful to look at. One was so outstanding that I took a photo to show friends... More

My husband and I spent a night at the Black Cat B&B. I wish we could have stayed longer. Ric is a wonderful host and the B&B is in a spectacular location with straight on views across the lakes to the mountains. We stayed in Room 2 (there are only two so sign up early). It was very quiet and... More
