Liz and James are fantastic. The location is in a great place near Twin Lakes, Leadville as well as great activity locations (Independence Pass to hike, Ski Cooper to ski or ride). They also have a wonderful home, great views, and pleasant outdoor spaces to enjoy (patio and hot tub). Breakfast is also incredible and served whenever you would like.... More

We arrived early in day and hosts allowed an earlier check-in than most places do at 4pm. We were greeted and shown our beautiful room. Nice private bathroom, best bed we've slept on in years, they had a nice little sofa and cable tv. They also had various drinks available (bottled water/tea/coffee) with a refrigerator and microwave. Their grounds are... More

We were fortunate to be able to stay 5 days at the Wolf Den B&B. What a beautiful setting and wonderful hosts! Liz and James are so gracious and made us feel right at home. We were very close to great dining and interesting, fun activities. The breakfasts were wonderful and served at our convenience. The room is large with... More

Like the view from the back patio, the hospitality from James and Liz is spectacular! I have stayed at A Wolf Den on three separate occasions. On all three visits the owners have been extremely gracious. The breakfasts are awesome - fresh fruit, eggs sausage; homemade pancakes and fresh fruit another day. The room over the garage is like a... More

Wish we had more time to enjoy this stay, but we had to travel through for one night. James was amazing. We really enjoyed the conversation and breakfast of fresh pancakes with strawberries and fresh squeezed orange juice. The room is quite large and is above the garage, but don't worry the noise of the garage door is not bothersome... More

Liz and James are amazing hosts, and ensure the best stay possible. They have extensive knowledge of the area, making it easy to find the perfect activity for your trip. The B&B is about a 15 minute drive to Leadville and Buena Vista, and only minutes from gorgeous hikes near Mount Elbert. Hands down, breakfast was the best part of... More

This place is quiet with fantstic host. The view is amazing, there is so much to do or not and enjoy the quiet. Snowshoeing in the winter, hiking and kayaking in the summer. Liz and James have made this a very sacred place for me. When I have time to get away this is where I go.

Gorgeous setting and comfortable room with all the amenities you could desire, including very flexible breakfast service. We stayed three days and had wonderful breakfasts each day. Only downside was very slow wifi, but really, we were on vacation, so what were we doing surfing the web? One note: you are at over 9,000 feet, so if you don't do... More

Sitting in the back yard, you can look out over the lake and mountains. It's a gorgeous view! The breakfasts are very tasty and filling. The hosts are helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay, and having a little kitchenette in the room was nice for fixing snacks or warming up leftovers. We would definitely stay here again. My... More

We stayed two nights at Wolf Den. Liz and James were fabulous hosts, and treated you like family rather than strangers. Our room was fabulous and the views were awesome. If you stay, make sure that Liz makes you her secrect pancakes for breakfast. They are out of this world. The views from her back yard were unbelievable and it... More
