My wife Marie and I recently stayed at the New Sheridan Hotel. It was Sunday morning (March 16) when I stepped out of the elevator and walked several steps before my feet slipped out from under me and I braced my fall with my right hand! Lesson #1: Ski boots are for skiing, not for casual walking. Staff picked me... More

We stayed Feb 2014 and I have to say that I am glad we decided to stay in town and this property is exactly what you would expect from an "old" new hotel. Small property with a great helpful staff, nicely appointed rooms and remodeled with an eye for detail. From check in to check out the staff was fully... More

3rd time staying at the New Sheridan - and next time we go to Telluride, we'll be staying here again. It really is superb. Totally central to the town, right on the main street next to the town hall. It's a very short walk to the gondola station. However, as we're feeling older now, we actually took the free bus,... More

Here from Aspen for a Freeride Ski event, everyone in town has been fantastic except the absolutely horrible bartender at the New Sheraton. Many better places to go in this town! Go there for the history bot the hospitality.

Our sincere apologies that you had a bad experience with one of our bartenders. We strive to offer nothing less than the best experience at our establishment, and we pride ourselves on this reputation. Obviously this wasn’t your experience, and I’m sorry. If you would care to send me an email direct to ray@newsheridan.com I would love to know the... More

Telluride has two parts: the town, and the (mountain) village. The town is the historic little city, like a smaller aspen, with shops, restaurants, and bars. The mountain village seems (never bothered to visit) to be more like your standard ski resort-y collection of condos and family-oriented restaurants. The New Sheridan felt like the still-hip, stately grandfather of the town.... More

Thanks for your fine explanation of the real town and then the "resort-y" condo land of the mountain village. Your explanation of our role in the town is also illuminating and catches the spirit of our real "heart of Telluride" role in the town - the "Grandfather" whose house is open all the day and night. Thanks for the appreciation... More

The historic building exudes charm and warmth. Our room was spacious and immaculate. The staff is friendly and incredibly accommodating in each and every encounter. We had a wonderful meal at the New Sheridan's Chop House, along with drinks in the parlor. During a few snowy afternoons, we enjoyed the view of the clouds covering the tops of the mountains... More

Not a place for young kids, definetly a place for couples, adults! I the heart of downtown, with a touch of old world elegance! The staff is phenomenal! Amazing deep, large bathtubs! Heated bathroom floors for snowy mornings! Highly recommend!

That we have heated bathroom floors for cold, snowy mornings, makes me wish that I were living at the hotel with all the snow coming from the kind storms! I will pass on your comments about our Guest Care team. Many thanks for taking the time to comment, Best wishes, Ray, GM More

The New Sheridan Hotel was everything that one would hope for in a hotel. The building itself was old and historic, located right on the main street in Telluride, it was right in the very center of the town and activities. The decor of the hotel is a mix of modern and traditional. While the hotel’s design clearly pays homage... More

Perfect hotel - best location on the main street in Telluride; fabulous spacious rooms; friendly and helpful staff; best dining room in town downstairs. Can not wait to return and do not hesitate to recommend.
