Stayed here three nights by myself Fri-Mon. Clean room and bathroom, flat screen tv with cable, free wifi, mini fridge, microwave, and a table. Great view of the river and mountains right outside. Walk to lift 7 in less than 5 minutes and to main street in under 10 min. Huge hot tub with extra towels. Quiet hours are from... More

Stayed in a 3-person family room with a queen and twin. Pros: Staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful. This is a no frills kind of place, so bargains can be found, at times - we paid $131 all in. The room was very clean. The tamales for skiers breakfast were delicious, filling, and included in the price (a rarity in... More

We stayed at the Mountainside Inn for three nights. The reasonably priced room had a two burner stove top, microwave, small fridge, and some cooking utensils, The room was a good size for two people, but could sleep three. There was a small selection of breakfast foods and good coffee in the reception. The main advantage is that the lift... More

The first room was musty and had to change. The rooms are carpeted. They hold the moisture brought in by ski equipment causing the smell. Second room was much better. The staff is friendly and helpful. Pets are allowed in some buildings at a $30 a night charge.

The only place available at the last minute. Really basic. It is clean beds are comfortable and so are the pillows. Very small rooms. It was okay and cheap for the holiday season this time but I don't think I will stay here again.

Stayed five nights during August. This is a place you take when nothing else is available and yet the price doesn't reflect the basic offerings it provides- bed, shower, toilet and tv. There isn't anyone on site after 5pm and one night there was a fight in the building quite scary. Best non-recommendation= 5 day stay and no one came... More

Thank you for your review. I am sorry for the altercation that you mentioned. It's important that if something like this occurs that guests call the Night Manager or police immediately so we can respond quickly. Concerning housekeeping, you should have had a midweek clean for your stay if you booked the five day stay at the beginning. If a... More

We tried to stay here but the office closes at 5. There is a number to call but no one picked up. It would have been helpful to know this information ahead of time. For travelers on a whim this is not a dependable place. The exterior looked nice, wish we could've made it work.

Thank you for your review. During the Fall off season, October 15 to November 20, office hours are 8:30 -5 pm. As you mentioned, there is a house phone that you can make reservations on at any time. From what you describe, it was not attended when you tried to call it. I apologize for this. During regular winter and... More

What a wonderful experience here. It was clean, the room was large, as was the bathroom (which lacked a tub), but there was no breakfast. Large hot tub outside and great coffee! The staff was lovely and I would definitely stay here again. Note: the lower level rooms cannot hear or see the river outside and it is slightly outdated... More

We thank you for your kind review. You are correct about the showers. In our Condominiums, all but our three bedroom unit are showers only. The three bedroom features three full bathrooms, two of which has bathtubs. We hope you come back anytime you can and during the winter (very soon now) we will be bringing back our winter "Protein... This is an older hotel with both smaller hotel type rooms and larger units with kitchens, bedrooms, etc. I have stayed there twice in the last three months and really enjoyed hearing the river out our room window along with the quiet setting by the side of the mountain and within walking distance to everything. Although the hotel is older... More

You are proof that all Mountainside Inn goers are above average, very intelligent and highly discerning. We thank you for your review and hope you can come and ski with us this winter. I am already looking out my window at 30" of fresh snow and blue skies. WOOHOO!!!!! Sincerely, Heather White More

Mountainside Inn has rooms which they allow pets for an extra $30. This fee seemed high compared to the rest of our vacation travel hotels which was typically $10. We stayed in room 220 in the same building as the check-in area. We had requested King bed and it was set up as 2 twin beds so we simply moved... More

Thank you for your review and we are always happy to see travellers with their pups. Each property has to set policy and fee to accommodate an ever increasing number of guests who travel with pets. For Mountainside Inn, Telluride's version of an economy accommodation, we set this fee keeping in mind the extra cleaning that we provide for pet... More
