We stayed one Night there and that was ok. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are a Little wornout, but the bed was clean and very comfy, the AC worked, but only just. Good for a Short, cheap stay. I would recommend this for a stay in Sterling,

This is the worst hotel I've stayed at in over 50 years of travel. Thread bare sheets, holes in the bathroom walls, a wreck of a shower and train horns blaring all night. The owner was nice but I should have left when I saw moisture on the inside of the windows. Stay away!

My husband and I stayed at the Colonial while we were in town for our son's wedding. I was pleasantly surprised by both the price ($60/night, including all taxes and fees) and the fact that had no "pet fee" for our 3 night stay. There is a pet fee for stays a week or longer. This motel is in the... More

Tripadvisor you let me down! It's hard to know where to start. We travelled all around Colorado for 7 days, finding and photographing birds from the highest passes to the sage lands and the most muddy we got was getting out of our car at this motel's parking lot! Our designated spot was covered by a pothole full of water... More

This motel was nice. Simply not the location i expected. Right on US6. I stayed here because i was visiting my mom in Fleming and i needed to stay at a motel. I checked out TripAdvisor and found this Motel. The price was great. I stayed in Room #3. Btw this is not a chain motel. I figured Fleming was... More

I have now stayed at the Colonial Hotel the past 2 weeks and I want this small motel to get a fair shake. Colonial is not a chain motel but they do have refridgerators and microwaves in their rooms, accept pets, smoking or nonsmking rooms, cable tv while the rooms are large and have sitting areas and adequate desk space.... OMG! I stay at hotels about 45 weeks a year. This was the worst I have ever stayed at. The owner was very rude, rooms were filthy, and there were BUGS! I was given a FLYSWATTER rather than a different room, or spray. I killed AT LEAST 40 flies and a COCKROACH tonight. I will NOT be staying here another... More

Stayed two nights at the Colonial Motel, in Sterling, CO. We were traveling between places and had wanted to see the historical museum here. The motel was just so-so - acceptable for $44 for two. Well, we were looking for cheap and it was that, but no better. The historical museum here is WONDERFUL, though - don't miss it! What... More
