My family of five stayed in Rockies condo, http://www.vrbo.com/448668#location , for a ski vacation over the holidays and had an amazing trip!! The condo has a great floor plan and was very comfortable for our family. We loved the views of the mountain from the family room, the remodeled kitchen and family room that are open floor plan to each... More

We stayed at the rockies 3/9/2013-3/14/2013 for a spring break/ ski trip. The place was really nice. We stayed in the Shoemaker 2322. The Condo was newly renovated and very large. It had a fireplace, a master bedroom, and a second bedroom that had two twin beds we pushed together into a queen bed because we went as two couples.... More

Stayed for 10 days in mid Jan 2013 - booked via Mountain Resorts (so no choice of unit number - just the size. We went for a large one bedroom size) This one bedroom unit had a view of the mountain with its entry on the same level as the car park. Unit has a ski locker right outside it's... More

The Bad: Old matresses and linens circa 1970. Upon arrival, we entered the Bunk Room where the kids would sleep and all the owner's belongings (skis, clothing, yes even liquor bottles & a pack of cigerettes) were piled on top of the bunk beds! There were no linens or pillows on the Bunk beds and mattresses were so old and... More

We have stayed at The Rockies twice now for ski vacations. Both units we stayed in were very nice and well furnished. These condos are right on the free bus route, and if you want a ride after bus hours, there is a free shuttle that you can call. The pool and hottub are very nice, and we never had... More

The Rockies managed by Mountain Resorts is the best deal in Steamboat. Although the Rockies are an older community the units are well maintained. The location is close enough to walk to the lifts but far enough that you don't have the rush in the morning or afternoon. The resort has their own shuttle in the evenings and they have... More

Took a last minute package deal with Steamboat Central Reservations out of DFW with direct service to HDN. Only thing different on this trip than our usual set up, was the condo we were put into. The Rockies is a nice, but older unit off of the mountain base area. The front desk area closes early, about 6 PM. The... More
