We got a nice room with a view of the river , room pretty comfortable with a small fridge , shower was nice with lots of towels The continental breakfast is far from " deluxe " . And some of the personnel were totally unfriendly ...At 10:50 when i was finishing packing i got a loud knock of the door... More

I apologize for your experience with our housekeeper. It must of been on Saturday Jan 17 when there was a higher than normal amount of turnover. Check out time is at 11:00 and we usually extend at least 15 minutes so not sure what caused this circumstance. In the future, please put out the do not disturb sign and you... More

I have stayed here many times over the past 6 years, or had friends stay here. We have never been disappointed. The river rooms are awesome, and the decor is new and tastefully done. The beds are great, as is the shower. And I LOVE that the bathroom has its own little heater! You are across the street from the... More

The major plus is the motel's location - "city center" and near everything. My room was in the main building, near the highway and the main parking lot. Room had the feel of the 1950s, but with some upgrading: mini-fridge, microwave, etc. On the unpleasant side, the front-desk personnel generally were indifferent, at best, with the exception of Deborah. Smiles... More

I'll have to be honest, I've been spoiled by staying in all Hilton brands through employment and I typically like establishments with indoor entry or quaint, local Bed and Breakfasts. When I saw the neon sign and the outdoor entry, I was a little hesitant. I was pleasantly surprised, though, and can see why this is one of the local... More

Stayed one night, but it was just what we needed. Trip Advisor was right again! Nice and clean (that is important to me). Staff was very friendly. Breakfast somewhat limited. Restaurants within walking distance so you can have dinner and drinks without having to drive.

I stayed here Sept. 12-16 to attend the Colorado Crane Conservation Coalition's Yampa Valley Sandhill Crane Festival. It had been suggested as a place and particularly to take a room in the back overlooking the Yampa River. Great idea. It's located at one end of Steamboat. The price was reasonable, beds were comfortable, the bathroom very clean with a good... More

My boyfriend and I came to Colorado for vacation and drove to Steamboat on our second day. The Rabbit Ears was recommended by a friend of a friend who happened to be local. As soon as we drove by, we were pretty excited because they have the best sign out front. The lady at the desk was extremely nice and... More

Booked 1 night & stayed for 5. Our balcony overlooked the Yampa & the hotel is next to a park with extensive paved trails. Day trips into the mountains are easy. Beautiful location. I would never stay anywhere else in Steamboat.

Historic motel from the 1950s, but well updated and very comfortable. Walking distance to downtown. Reasonably priced for the area. Nice continental breakfast is included. Fridge and microwave in the room were very helpful.

We stayed at the Rabbit Ears Motel in August with our family of 5. It is an independent, family operated motel that does a very good job. Our room overlooked the Yampa, and we could sit out on the deck and hear the river go by. The room was clean and spacious with a fridge and microwave, so that was... More
