Hard to find a better deal in a resort town. Shuttle stop steps away, hot springs right across street, easy walk to shops and restaurants. This isn't the Taj Mahal but nice enough for all but the snobby.

A classic Steamboat motel, Rabbit Ears was a perfect place to stay overnight on our recent trip to Strawberry Springs. You can walk to dining and entertainment. The grocery store is across the street. And the mineral public pools in town are also across the street. Good location, friendly staff, clean.

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the walking trails and convenience to walking downtown shops and hot springs. Wonderful clean, comfortable, quiet room and affordable motel. Pride in family ownership stands our with all the modern upgrades.

We had a room in the back overlooking the Yampa River, and even in February enjoyed sitting out on the balcony relaxing in the late afternoon sun after great ski days. The shuttle to the slopes is extremely convenient, as is the hot spring right across the street. We found the staff to be extremely fun and friendly as well... More

If you are deciding to stay downtown, this is well and above the best choice for you. But I would only stay in the rooms that overlook the river so make sure you call and verify which class of motel room that is. If not, you will be stuck above the parking lot and near the main street which is... More

I appreciate your thorough review. You appear to be familiar with this property and Steamboat in general. The rooms in the main building are cozy, quiet and newly remodeled, although not on the river still provide a good value. Old Town Hot Springs provides a wonderful Hot Springs experience for the whole family and shouldn't be overlooked. Housekeeping is now... More

Very ffriendly motel. We had room 121, which we would reccomend. Doug at check in was nice and friendly, they have hookups for the hot springs across the street. The location in awesome. Room was good, not enough outlets. Shower was ok, it was tiled nicely, but they left in the framing of the sliding glass doors and just used... More

Thanks for your review. Our showers are newly remodeled and the glass shower door in your room was shattered. We do have a new one on order and should be installed very soon. We have had to improvise with a shower curtain until it is installed. We are installing outlet centers with USB ports on our night stands but hasn't... More

We got a nice room with a view of the river , room pretty comfortable with a small fridge , shower was nice with lots of towels The continental breakfast is far from " deluxe " . And some of the personnel were totally unfriendly ...At 10:50 when i was finishing packing i got a loud knock of the door... More

I apologize for your experience with our housekeeper. It must of been on Saturday Jan 17 when there was a higher than normal amount of turnover. Check out time is at 11:00 and we usually extend at least 15 minutes so not sure what caused this circumstance. In the future, please put out the do not disturb sign and you... More

I have stayed here many times over the past 6 years, or had friends stay here. We have never been disappointed. The river rooms are awesome, and the decor is new and tastefully done. The beds are great, as is the shower. And I LOVE that the bathroom has its own little heater! You are across the street from the... More

The major plus is the motel's location - "city center" and near everything. My room was in the main building, near the highway and the main parking lot. Room had the feel of the 1950s, but with some upgrading: mini-fridge, microwave, etc. On the unpleasant side, the front-desk personnel generally were indifferent, at best, with the exception of Deborah. Smiles... More

I'll have to be honest, I've been spoiled by staying in all Hilton brands through employment and I typically like establishments with indoor entry or quaint, local Bed and Breakfasts. When I saw the neon sign and the outdoor entry, I was a little hesitant. I was pleasantly surprised, though, and can see why this is one of the local... More
