We were provided with a suite on the second floor. Fun! There was more room than I've ever had in a hotel. The staff were great. The breakfast was fine. Not bad for a cheap place to stay that is conveniently located to town.

The office staff were friendly and professional. We had a room in the separate (back) building on the second floor overlooking the Yampa River. The train (on the other side of the river) was a bit noisy, but didn't go past later than 9 p.m. while we were there. The room was spacious and kept in good order by the... More

The motel is a good choice for Steamboat Village. Within walking distance of the spa, restaurants and other attractions. The (free) bus stop for those wanting to visit the larger and fancier ski village/resort is within 100 yards. Easy access to the Yampa River trail. Knowledgeable and friendly (all female) staff, and good breakfast. Room was large, and had fridge,... More

We were on a road trip from Colorado Springs to Yellowstone National Park and stayed at the Rabbit Ears Motel on our way there and again on our way back. What a nice place to stay! The location is great. You can easily walk into town. The rooms were very clean and had everything one could need for a night.... More

There is not a lot of choices for hotels in Steamboat Springs. We were riding in the Tour de Steamboat and wanted to be close to the start/finish line. We knew that the motel was a local icon and were pleased by the reviews we read of the place. There should be no expectations that this is a luxury experience;... More

Went to Steamboat for the night with my teenager. Loved the location close to the swimming hole, downtown, hot springs, and Vitamin Cottage. The room was a basic motel room, but with nice pillows, a fabulous shower, a good TV, and lots of fluffy white towels. We bought the discount hot springs tickets for the town pool, which was nice.... This is a modest motel. We had a room on the top floor of the building toward the back and along the river. It had a low ceiling, was rather dark with unremarkable decor. However, I experienced the best night of sleep I've ever had at a motel. The room had a small balcony that faced the river. We opened... More

Love this place! Rooms are charming in the old steamboat way. Clean, roomy and a great view of the Tampa river. Slept like a baby with the slider open, fresh air not noisy air conditioner. Beds were very comfortable. If you like the more fancy hotels, then this place is not for you. Hit springs run off right outside the... More

I tried to get into the #1 but it was already booked and I finally got a room here. Many of the rooms are on the river. They gave us a room on the river and it had a small patio where you could sit and listen. So peaceful. The room was large with two couches that made into extra... More

Very nice and clean hotel. I would definitely stay here again. Walking distance to most attractions and downtown area with many shops and restaurants. Room was great with couches that would accommodate 2 more singles if needed for a total of 6. Could see how this could be a great value for skiers if all rooms are designed this way.... More
