We recently honeymooned at the Rabbit Ears Motel. We weren't sure at first, as pictures online can be deceiving. But upon entering our room we found it very spacious, clean, well cared for with newer fixtures, carpet, bedding, etc. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and the locals were kind to out-of-towners. Our only problem was that some... More

Considering the age of the motel, I wasn't expecting much. We were visiting only for a few days, and on a budget. We chose Rabbit Ears for it's pet policy and prime location. We requested, and received, a room on the river. The room was updated and clean. The staff was friendly. I couldn't ask for much more. The lobby... More

We stayed one night here summer 2013 on our trip around Colorado, mainly due to price, and the cute Bunny sign outside - just looked interesting! The desk staff was very nice, and helpful w/ information about the area. This is an OLD motel people ... like a place from an old western or something, but it added to the... More

We appreciate your input. Your stay is at least 5 months old. (summer of 2013) Certainly, we are always concerned about any smoke smell. I wish we would of had a chance to address your issue during your stay. Cleanliness is one our main priorities. We have made some significant improvements and remodeling from when you were here. Late fall... More

We stayed here for one night on Jan. 10th-in town for business. Our room had a beautiful bath recently remodeled and new. Walk in shower, great water pressure, lot's of hot water and very nice towels. Comfort height sink and toilet. Room came with a frig, microwave, flat screen TV, extra pillows and blankets for the bed which is unheard... More

We love this motel! The rooms look like they were recently updated, and the staff is always friendly. We stay here, because it's located across the street from the Old Town Hot Springs, and we walk across to warm up after a day of skiing. The free shuttle to the ski area also stops close to the motel. We can... More

Rabbit Ears got good reviews, but I was skeptical, especially when we drove up and saw those huge red rabbit ears standing out like a sore thumb. I worried about having an old fashioned motel experience. Nice surprise though. Our room overlooked the river. The view was beautiful. The room was great. Very comfy, everything worked beautifully. The soaps provided... More

Wanted to stay longer then one day, but the snow was on it's way. The one night stay was rather nice except for a few barking dogs in another room in the morning. Then there were two men having a conversation outside at 2 am about whether one of them was going to start up their motorcycle or car and... More

I wasn't sure with the pink rabbit ears but the reviews were mostly all good. After I got there I found out that the motel has this name for Rabbit Ears Pass through the mountains. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Also the breakfast was good.

We had to switch motels mid stay. This alternative was a very good one. It is clean, spacious with all modern amenities. They provide a good array of breakfast foods, free wifi and laundry facilities. Great shower everything you could need. They even provide a coffee maker. Would recommend this to anyone.

Good service/quality. Desk clerk provided helpful/info directions for the hot springs and restaurants. Continental breakfast. Souvenirs/gifts for sale. Walking distance for food/shopping. And of course the neon rabbit sign!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Luxury night's sleep minus the luxury price The Rabbit Ears Motel, located in beautiful Steamboat Springs, Colorado, is your choice for comfortable, affordable lodging right in the center of downtown. Either they built Steamboat around our motel, or our motel was conveniently built in the center of all the action. So, both ways, you know that all the activities and nightlife the valley provides are in close proximity. Choose a weekend get-away for the family, or stay with us the whole week. World-class skiing with slope-side ski-in, ski-out convenience is expensive and overrated. Our motel is right on the main street and just a 5 minutes' bus ride to the gondola and the base of the ski area. Oh, and the bus is free. Lastly, all our guests are welcome to get reduced-priced Old Town Hot Springs passes for our recreation center, just across the street. ... more   less
