The Ptarmigan House has an excellent location less than one minute away from the slopes and right at the Steamboat ski school. We stayed in unit 20, which has a queen bedroom and two sofabeds in the living room. The bathroom was adequate and the kitchenette was well appointed. We stayed at Ptarmigan House for 10 nights in a large one bed condo. Apartment was a good size, and suited our family of four. The front desk staff were very obliging (except for the following issue), and the location was excellent. Ptarmagan House was a great experience and I will go back there again. We had a 1 BR Studio which was plenty of room for 2 people. The couch was a pull out so 4 could sleep there but would have been a little cramp. The one disappointment was we had a Murphy bed which I was not expecting as... more

We wanted to be close to the slopes but able to walk easily into the base of the resort for dinner etc. Ptarmigan is perfectly located it has a 50 yard track connecting it to the piste - you can ski in but you do need to walk out. On arrival the staff showed a real interest in us and... more
