I absolutely loved the charm of this hotel. my friends and i stayed in the queen family rooms. the rooms are small which is to be expected from an older hotel but i was able to fit everything in my room. I see some reviews complaining about not having a fridge. There are some rooms that had a small one... More

The location in downtown Steamboat is great. The rooms are small, bathroom is tiny. Surprisingly quiet for downtown. You give up a bit for the convenient location. No views, no balcony, no fridge. The value was decent, walking distance to lots of restaurants.

Very helpful reception staff. Very central location. First room bit small but suite excellent. Character building with hot tub and nice reception area with free coffee. Good diner nearby for breakfast. This hotel has best location to shops and restaurants and nearby river.

I was looking for a more quaint, non-chain hotel to stay at for one night in Steamboat Springs, CO. After reading some reviews on Tripadvisor, I narrowed my search down to 2 smaller hotels that were located in downtown Steamboat. I was a bit leery about selecting the Bristol, based on one review I saw which stated they were not... More

We stayed here for two nights - one night there was four of us and the other two. It may have been a bit tight for multiple nights with four of us. The hotel is quaint, the front desk personnel is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and there was room for all of our ski gear and... More

Thank you for staying at Hotel Bristol and greatly appreciate your comments. I am sorry for the noise of the plows in the early morning, but this also means you must have had a powder day on the slopes. : ) We offer repeat guest discounts and hope to see you again at Hotel Bristol. More

Because I didn't. I booked online on their website. They charge you $25 as soon as you make your reservation and after 3 days, they keep it no matter what. Even if you cancel weeks before the trip, you still get hooked for the $25. Bad policy, very unfriendly to travelers.

Thank you for your comments. The Hotel Bristol built in 1948 is a small boutique hotel in the heart of Downtown Steamboat Springs. Our hotel has only 18 guest rooms and offers an experience along with a restful nights sleep. I apologize that the policy wasn’t clear upon your booking. During your booking process online the very first page you... More

This is the worst experience I have ever had trying to stay at a hotel. We booked through Hotels.com, paid for our reservation and upon arrival at the hotel, we found the doors locked and the lights off. We picked up the phone outside the door, which rang through to the security who I explained the situation to, who proceeded... More

Thanks for your review and I apologize for the trouble that your Hotels.com booking has caused. When our operating hours changed so did the booking time for our third party partners. There seems to have been an error in this change allowing your reservation to be booked. Please call the hotel at (970)879-3083 with your information and we can assist... More

We chose this hotel because it was downtown and we could walk to everything we wanted to see. Small does not begin to describe the room and the bathroom. The biggest problem is the heat. No AC and if you open the windows to cool you are treated to the road noise. Coffee in the lobby, not until the staff... More

Thanks for staying at Hotel Bristol and for your review. We have wall-mounted air conditioners in each one of our guest rooms. I do apologize that this was not explained to you upon your arrival. We also prepare a small pot of coffee at 6am for the early risers until the hotel opens at 8am. Hotel Bristol was built in... More

What it is - an historic hotel right in downtown Steamboat. Very convenient location. Walking distance to may shops and restaurants, the Yampa trail, bike rental shop, and the like. Because it is an older hotel, the rooms are small, as expected and noted in other reviews, but we had the room with the King-size bed and it was close... More

Thank you for the review and thoughts, as we greatly appreciate your comments. The King Room was developed based on past guest comments. We use to marry two single beds together with the industry standard "bridge", but we have found that our guest prefer a true King Bed. We also installed a mini fridge in the room to augment the...
