This hotel doesn't have any of the extra amenities that you might expect from a chain, but the room was clean and comfortable. The beds were firm (a good thing), the bathroom basic but clean, and the location and price were what we wanted. No fuss, but quiet and satisfying.

Spent the night here during the time of the Hot Air Balloon & Rodeo Festival. The hotel is off of the main drag behind another hotel but should not be a problem to find. Property has a better than average breakfast (grape-nuts!) & patio to enjoy it on while the Hot Air Balloons take off in the morning with your... More

hard to find but otherwise clean affordable, nice staff and good location. its located directly behind its sister lodge so you need to know where to look but once we finally found it it was definitely worth it. we stayed for several days. the room was clean and easy to access with a refrigerator and a decent view if you... We are staying here and there is a group with approximately 30 boys between 5-12. They are running the halls, slamming doors and banging on the walls. We have complained and asked to be moved, but in order to accommodate the needs of the group they are spread throughput the lodge and there is no respite from the noise. They... More

I cannot report any bad experience. We only stayed for 2 days but the staff we encountered were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean spacious. Breakfast was adequate for a free continental breakfast. Enjoyed our stay.

Most lodging establishments are very nice about helping to return to you any item that you left after your stay. Steamboat Springs Mountain Lodge appeared to be so but soon found out that instead of simply mailing a small package of wildflower seeds that was left in the room via USPS to me, without telling me, the item was turned... The only challenge regarding the Steamboat Mountain Lodge is finding it--It is located behind another lodge run by the same management, called the Steamboat Hotel. Clear signs with directional arrows are lacking. Just follow the driveway around either side of the Steamboat Hotel, and you will immediately see Steamboat Mountain Lodge directly behind it. Once found, though, it is quite... More

We stayed here for two nights in January 2014 and enjoyed the quiet place. Would have given it an "excellent" rating despite the average breakfast then. On our way back from a business trip we decided to stay here for one (Friday) night in June. The room was pretty pricey, a quiet upstairs room as requested. When we entered the... More

Enjoyed waffles, cereals, muffins, and bagels for breakfast. Additional burritos for nominal fee. Outdoor hot tub available, tho I didn't indulge in July. Did use it in February on the sunny patio. Couches and table by the fireplace in February was a great place for a game of Rummykub. Perhaps hard to find the actual lodging since it "hides" behind... More

The staff were very friendly, the place was quiet and one of the best night's sleeps we had on our vacation. The beds were super comfy, we're thinking of getting that kind for our own home! Overall, very clean, great location, great place to stay!
