This was my second trip to Steamboat. My first trip was fantastic staying in a ski-in ski-out condo near the lifts. I wish I could say the same about the Ranch. I was a bit leery of booking a place that seemed pretty far from the slopes on all of the maps. As it turned out, The Ranch was incredibly convenient. This is a very good place to stay. We stayed in the 300 block of units which had an unabstructed view of the slopes. It was also very close to the hot tub, which I never got around to visiting. This place is terrific because the price is right, the location is very convenient, the accomodations are very spacious, and the complex is situated on many quiet and private acres overlooking the beautiful valley in one direction and the massive ski mountain in the other direction. We stayed at the Ranch from 1/18/04 through 1/24/04. The place was very nice, frequent shuttle to the mountain, great views of the mountain from our living room window, hot tub was wonderful! People very friendly. Would definately stay here again on our next trip to Steamboat. more
