After reading the other reviews, my experience was not a solitary incident. The owner is an incredibly rude person. After paying cash, he refused to give us our key and suggested that we call the police. Baffled, we questioned why he would be so dishonest. He gave us the key, but the room was disgusting. Don't stay here.

The motel is owned by an elderly couple, both of whole we met upon checking in and visiting the office. They are extremely hospitable, and you can tell that they have poured their souls into this place. It is not five-star, but that isn't what we expected when we booked our reservation. We felt incredibly at home the whole time,... More

I was expecting a 2-star type place, and that's pretty much what we got. It was clean and quiet. It was not full, so I would not have expected a lot of noise and it was quiet. They did have a newer TV and good Wifi, so if you have Apple TV or Google Chromecast, etc. those should work here.... More

I go to Steamboat to board, not to lounge in my room. It's nothing special. We have stayed on 2 separate occasions, and I plan to go back. After $11 in taxes it came to $75 a night, but everything else I could find in town was over $100 before the high taxes! It feels bit like a rough Euro... More

My boyfriend and I chose to stay here because we booked our trip late, didn't want to pay much, and thought it would be nice to be downtown. Let me start by saying I was dreading it based on the reviews - I am a person who refuses to touch hotel comforters or walk in hotel rooms barefoot - but... More

When I checked in the room looked a little rough, but nothing beyond cheap hotel rough. After returning from a day of exploring the town I got ready for bed. Pulling back the blankets revealed sheets covered in long black hairs and an obvious pee or poop stain. When I went to the front office to complain, they refused to... More

My boyfriend and I went to steamboat from Winter Park and decided to stay the night. We wanted something on the cheaper side...(if you can call $94 for the cheapest room cheap!) and walking distance from town. So we found this place and thought it was going to be great. We walked in and the furniture and bed spreads looked... More

Someone must be disgruntled and bent on tearing this place down. Yes it's old and no it is not fancy. Very basic, there is a smell of sulpher from the hot springs but it is no big deal. This place is a bargain and we try enjoyed our stay. Took the money we saved on overpriced accommodations and enjoyed eating... More

Yeah, it's 'quirky' shall we say? But at $42/nt AFTER taxes, you weren't expecting turn-down service were you? In my dealings with him, the owner was quite helpful, friendly, and chatty. I was in a pickle and got a great rate on a week here, cheaper than renting an actual room in town. It's dated, you might ask to borrow... More

Started out as a nice inexpensive motel. Staff was kind and courteous. Then we got to the room. The smell was one of something dead. The room was not clean at all, cob webs, dirty q tips, furniture from the 70's, plastic over the mattress's to cover or protect, I don't know. Very dirty bathrooms. We decided to go eat... More
