The setting is beautiful. The actual room is VERY dated. There is no central HEAT! It is a wood burning fireplace, which is nice for the first 30 minutes--but of course--til you have to keep putting logs on the fire for more heat in the room!! We were in unit #21, it is older, but very comfortable. It was a "studio deluxe", it had an accordian door which went wall to wall and floor to ceiling to separate the bedroom from the living room. The great skiing and welcoming ambiance of Snowmass Mountain brought us back. After a near perfect experience in Lichenhearth Condo #27 two years ago, we again had a very delightful stay. Don't let the looks from the outside keep you away from these units. The exterior looks old which it is, however the units are individually owned , my wife and I stayed in unit 16 and we were very pleased and would stay again. Lichenhearth Condos are old. At least the building we stayed in was. Nice location, only steps from the lift and the ski class meeting place... Tree House. We stayed for 2 nights in a silver level condo. Apparently this means the unit has been updated but not as much as a gold condo but more than a bronze condo. My 11-year old son and I just stayed here and were very happy. It's not as updated as other condos around us such as Capitol Peak, but it's clean, bright, quiet.
