We stayed overnight on our train trip. Our stay was beyond what could be expected. Not only is the place beautiful, but the owner went overboard to make our stay one we will always remember., including personally picking us up and taking us back to the Train Station in his trolley. The room was very comfortable, with down bedding, the... more

My wife and I recently stayed at the Wyman and enjoyed every part of the stay. The room was great, the wine and cheese in the evenings was very special, the conversations with the owner and his son about the hotel was very interesting and the breakfast each morning was better than most gourmet restaurants. We will be back to... more

For our 15th Wedding Anniversary we wanted something extraordinary and we found it at The Wyman at their Candlelight Caboose - a refurbished train caboose converted into a hotel room. But also, when we go back - and we will - we look forward to staying in one of the amazingly furnished rooms there. They are gorgeous in authentic Victorian... more

After the last train to Durango left, my husband and I checked into "another hotel" that we had previously reserved. The "other" hotel was ghastly and I suggested we visit the Wyman Hotel that we stayed in long ago - when our children were young. Much to our surprise, the new owner Rodger, had turned this hotel into an amazing... more

First I want to say charming owner and I wish him well. However the hotel is over-priced for the area and compared to others nearby. The carpet in our room was needing renewed and the bathroom was small and cramped. more

It sounds like the new owners have done a fabulous job with the Wyman; it was one of our favorite places recently on a 3-week road tour all around Colorado! Its rooms and facilities are really unique and so well restored. This hotel was built in 1902 and is listed on the Register of Historic Places -- what a gem.... more

We stayed at the Wyman for 2 nights and really loved it. The doors of vacant rooms are left open, and since October is pretty quiet in Silverton, we got to see most of the rooms in the hotel. Each is decorated completely differently. The hotel has afternoon cookies and evening wine & cheese hour, which are nice touches. The... more

A friend had recommended we try the Wyman as they had stayed at another hotel in Silverton and just wished they had stayed at the Wyman. I booked reservations for my wife and I about 10 days before we left Missouri for Colorado. The lady taking the reservation was very helpful and wanted to know specifically what our train schedule... more

The problem with staying at The Wyman Hotel in Silverton, CO, is that you will not want to leave! What a fantastic experience we had staying there. We were on a road trip throughout western Colorado and planned on staying in Silverton one night. We wanted to stay at a unique b&b and The Wyman's website seemed to fit the... more

The Wyman is a lovely place with amazing rooms and views. We were made to feel at home and the breakfast they served was exemplary. We would definitely stay here again. Next time, we plan on staying in the railroad room! more
