We reserved a room (307), even after reading the reviews. The lobby us very nice, with some period fixtures and furnishings. Our room was on the third floor. The wifi didn't connect, and there wasn't a screen for the window. Also, the fixtures in the room were from perhaps 1982, definitely not 1882. The cheap vinyl flooring in the bathroom... More

Stayed here for one night while passing through the area. I didn't have a reservation so ended up with a queen room on the third floor, room 301, which was about all they had left. Note this hotel has no air conditioning, which is tolerable since this town is at high elevation. However, this room had been all closed up... More

Have been in Silverton before but this is the first time at the Grand Imperial. It is a great old hotel. Did not have reservations and we were lucky there was a room. Casey at the front desk took great care of us. We stayed in a king suite #203 on the front of the building, great people watching spot,... More

An old, poorly maintained, hotel with very noisey squeaky floors, and hosted with an air of indifference. Not worth the high prices. Toilet never did work right, and a request to have it repaired was ignored. Receptionists at the front desk (day and evening) gave the impressives they could not have cared less, and seemed disturbed when I interrupted their... More

Booking 2 weeks ahead in summer I got the last queen-room. We had never stayed at this hotel before so I felt lucky to get the room, but the stay-experience was a big disappointment. Two young ladies were at the front desk and seemed more interested in watching a movie on their IPAD than paying attention to the customer, and... More

I am generally willing to forego a few conveniences in order to have an unusual experience. Thus, we booked a night by phone at the Grand Imperial Victorian Hotel. We expected rustic charm in an old, renovated 1880's era hotel. It was more rustic than charming. The lady who checked us in was abrupt to the point of rude on... More

My husband and I planned a trip along the spectacular Alpine Loop, so of course a stay in Silverton was necessary. The Grand Imperial Palace is a throw back to a very different time. the owners have done a nice job of adding modern amenities yet keeping the authentic old west charm intact. Our room was lovely, with big windows... More

Awesome, the hotel is really nice, the beds are so soft you can feel like you are floating on clouds. Room in so pretty. There is nothing at all to say bad about this place. Will stay there every chance I can. Will highly recommend this place.

This is our second stay at the Grand Imperial. Stayed July 6th 2013 for 1 night in room 305 overlooking Greene Street. Friendly staff, average size room with king bed and good size bathroom, large walkin wardrobe, small old TV, ceiling fan and small desk fan (no a/c). Negitive - Room window had thin see through netting as curtain no... More

The staff were very nice, letting us check in early, and really tried to make our stay to be as pleasant as possible, a case in point, when i complained that there was no heat and the room was 62 degrees, some one came right away with an electric space heater and made sure it was functional. Unfortunately there was... More
