This home and the folks who managed it made us feel very comfortable. I wish I had known this was going to be such a great place. I would have planned 2 nights there. I will certainly stay there again. Thanks Michael and gang. more

We were given a King suite on the third floor of this historic hotel. We enjoyed views of the mountains from all the windows--especially pretty at sunset. Our suite had a king bedroom, large sitting area with daybed, TV, and comfy chairs, and a bathroom with combination tub/shower. The downstairs parlor and dining room were tastefully decorated in Victorian style.... more

Stayed at Silverton Inn of the Rockies with my wife and kids for a week of skiing early in the 2008 new year. Great Stay. The owner (Mary Ann) and Manager (Pam) were all delightful. The food was wonderful and the rooms were very comfortable. Kendal Mountain in Silverton is the perfect place for children and families. It was only... more

Hello, I booked my room via their we. For several days no confirmation arrived. To my followed up email I was told that room was not booked yet, that they forgot. I sounded strange so I checked the reviews with this web page. Here I read about all their messups and their reputation with credit card charges. So I emailed... more

My husband and I arrived late in Silverton looking for accomodation and stumbled across the Alma House. As soon as we stepped into the door, we were immediately taken by the old-fashioned, Victorian atmosphere. After looking at the charming rooms, we decided to stay. Pam, the inn-keeper, made us feel welcome straight away with home-baked chocolate cake and sherry, as... more

My family of 5 (three children aged 9,9, and 10) stayed at the Inn of the Rockies about a year ago and I've been meaning to post my positive experience ever since. We stayed on the very top floor and the room was perfect for our family - clean and spacious and as a bonus my husband and I had... more

Family vacation, thunderstorm in the mountains, desparate for a place to stay, and happened across this B&B. What a great place! The manager was exceedingly helpful and kind, giving us a chance to look at the different rooms available and giving us a very reasonable rate. The entire building was pure elegance. The room was wonderfully historical in its feel;... more

The Historic Alma House is a great place to stay and Silverton is a fantastic town to visit, but if your driving into town from the north, the Million Dollar Highway is not a road for the faint hearted traveller!!! We stayed one night at the Historic Alma House, which is a turn of the century hotel. The internet page... more

If you're looking for a quaint Victorian-style B&B with an attentive proprietor and terrific breakfasts, look no further than the Inn of the Rockies, which is also known as the Alma House. I just returned from a two-night stay and found this inn to be a terrific accomodation. Dan, the proprietor, was very friendly and made sure he catered to... more
