Sometimes you find out what folks are made of when things don't go as planned. In our case, it was a last minute scheduling disaster that prevented us from making our planned trip to Salida. The hosts were very understanding and helped us out. Very much appreciated and we'll see you next time we do make it to Salida!

We came to Salida for a nice overnight stay and hot spring soak the next day. The house is beautiful and so is the property. Jon and Terre were great hosts and answered all of my silly and not so silly questions happily. Breakfast was superb and the house was quiet. They even had great suggestions on where to eat... More

My husband and I stayed here recently for a quick getaway to celebrate his birthday and our anniversary. We couldn't have been happier! The owners Jon and Terre were very welcoming and friendly. The house was beautiful and our room was perfect. We stayed in the Henry Tudor Suite which has a private hot tub in the room. Everything was... More

We really enjoyed our accommodations at the Tudor Rose. It was comfortable, we were welcomed kindly by John, and we were able to decompress, enjoy the hot tub, and have a delicious breakfast in the morning. Don't forget to talk a walk on the trail behind the house! We would love to return for a longer stay in the future!

My husband is wheelchair-bound, and aside from hotel/motels it is often difficult to find accommodations that cater to his needs. Our daughter, her husband and their two young (2 & 3) sons joined us. The chalet was warm and inviting, a wonderful fireplace, great views, comfortable beds, lots of room for our family. Great step in shower with built in... More

We decided to stay here for a weekend Ski get away. It was really easy to find and the views were phenomenal! We received a warm welcome from the inn keepers when we arrived and it really felt like we were old friend getting reacquainted! The room was spacious and living areas very inviting. The bed was very plush and... More

We went to Salida for a quick get-a-way for our anniversary and for New Years. Tudor Rose was great - very nicely appointed, fabulous breakfast, wonderful views. Not within walking distance of the downtown, but easy to find.

This was our 4th visit to the Tudor Rose, and we had a great time. Our days were spent skiing, but we spent our evenings enjoying the coziness of the chalet. We love the full kitchen and were able to cook our entire Christmas meal in it! We hope to return very soon!

A beautiful cozy home tucked away in the foothills just outside of downtown Salida. We had the best of both worlds...soaking in the hot tub or hiking on their 40 acres of land; and being able to get to my favorite mountain town in minutes. The history, restaurants and bars, art galleries, friendly people, and Arkansas River make it such... More
