Tammy and Steve make you feel right at home! They are generous, affable and run a unique B and B--it reflects who they are and the history of their family! It is like going to an American Heritage Museum chock full with Tammy's ancestor's century old handmade quilts, apple corers, spice tins and other memorabilia. Everything tells a story and... More

We are regular visitors to the Thomas House, but had not been there for two years this time. We are so glad we were able to be there again! It was like coming home. It was so comfortable, so charming, so welcoming. We had a very relaxing visit, slept well in a bed that is actually better than we have... More

We stayed at the Thomas House for one night recently and really enjoyed it. Our rooms were clean and comfy, the internet access was really good and the breakfast was wonderful! Plus we loved the old house and how well taken care of it is, Steve and Tammy obviously love this historical home. We could easily walk to downtown Salida... More

Steve and Tammy are wonderful. They made us feel like part of the family. Great food and loved enjoying the balcony. Steve called us about 5 mins after we left to let me know I let my Wedding Ring in the room. Not many people would do that. We can't wait to go back

We stayed two nights in the Mt. Antero room. Although the room was on the small side, every convenience was thought of to maximize the space. Hooks in the right places, etc. Our room was immaculate and the bathroom with fully tiled shower was quite nice. The location cannot be beat as you can walk to downtown with the numerous... More

We stayed one night in the Buffalo Peaks Cottage which is separate from the main house. It was small and okay for one night. We didn't stay for breakfast because when we first knocked on the door 3 dogs came running at us from inside and we both wondered about cleanliness when that sort of thing happens. The main house... The Thomas House and hosts Tammy and Steve met or exceeded all our expectations for our vacation lodging. The house is very homey without being kitschy. It feels like you have stepped back in time. Tammy and Steve have thoughtfully appointed each room with appropriate period furniture and decor. Our bedroom was very cozy and right off the upper deck.... More

The Thomas House is owned and run by the sincerest folks a person could come across. I had to adjust my travel plans with the Thomas House when my dog fell ill. Not only were the folks willing to accomodate rearrangement, but they were also extremely empathetic and sincerely concerned for myself and my dog, Ozone. I don't know about... More

We stayed in the Mount Shavano room for two nights. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom (in room) was lovely. The owners were happy to accomodate any of our needs. The home is located just one block from the downtown shops, galleries and restaurants. Perfect for a couple's weekend get-away. A note for those with pet... More
