Shoshini yoga retreat is a place to go to reflect, pray and nurture your soul. The yogis who live there are all very welcoming while at the same time are very respectful of your space and personal journey, whatever that may be. The yoga classes are Hatha style and of light to medium intensity and the mediation practice, from the... More

I live in Denver and in a moment of needing to get away, googled yoga retreats in Colorado instead of having to throw down thousands to go to a place like Tulum. I feel so fortunate to have found this place. The food is fantastic, vegetarian, but beautifully spiced, and I always eat every bite and feel fully satiated. It's... More

About five years ago, I missed a flight at DIA and was reeling from disappointment, when a friend suggested I should treat myself to a one day retreat at Shoshoni, and I am forever grateful I took her advice! I have been to Shoshoni on numerous occasions, either on my own for a yoga retreat or with my family for... More

I recently stayed at Shoshoni for a a family oriented weekend retreat. This place is conveniently located just outside of Nederland, but far enough away to provide a secluded mountain experience. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, with a beautiful view of sleeping giant mountain and a lake. The cabin we stayed in was big enough for our family of four,... More

I have been visiting Shoshoni for over a decade now and each time it just gets better. I currently live in Thailand, but make a point to include a trip here on my visits back to the United States. This is an incredibly special place, the likes of which are exceptionally rare compared to most other places I have visited... More

We recently returned from a weekend at Shoshoni and am still feeling the nourishment from spending time at this wonderful retreat center. The people who work there were sweet and very accommodating from office staff to yoga instructors to the kitchen staff. The cabins were clean and have that cozy mountain flare you expect in the Colorado Rockies. The food... More

Shoshoni is an extraordinary place. The staff is generous and kind and unassuming, attentive but allowing you the space to relax and absorb all that is being offered. It goes way beyond the "yoga retreats" being offered elsewhere and emanates unparalleled joy as well as serious practice. If you want to experience what yoga really is and take your practice... This is a very special place. The staff is very friendly and there is a culture of kindness throughout. The meals were scrumptious, and I liked that the staff, the teacher trainees and the guests all eat together. The hiking trails are beautiful, well-maintained and well-marked. Yoga classes were well-taught, and the accommodations in the eco-cabin were terrific. After only... More

My daughter (age 25) and I stayed at Shoshoni for one night in August. I had never been to a retreat/ashram and felt apprehensive as we pulled up. However, in a very short time, the peace and calm was palpable, and I lowered my usually loud voice about 50 decibles. Our accomodation-a cabin with two queen beds- was very clean... More

This was my second visit, after a longer one in May. This place is rustic, on purpose, no wireless, no TV, very peaceful. The new Eco cabins are excellent, huge bathroom, nice comfy bed etc. the yoga classes are very good. The food is healty and vegan options are available. But what makes the difference is the welcoming and friendly... More
