My daughter is an out of state college athlete trying to get to Denver for her flight. The weather and driving conditions were bad. We booked in the Hilton app a place for her to be safe for the night. They denied her when she arrived because she was not 21 but 18. She was crying and scared in lobby. Shame on Hilton for not having discernment in emergency situations to allow her a safe place for the night. Even perfect strangers in the lobby were offering to get a hotel for her, concerned for her. We called next door to Wyndham and they completely understood the situation and gave her a room. So I recommend go next door and stay there.

Hotel's Favorite
Extremely friendly staff, quiet room, vast variety of breakfast items, overall appearance impeccable. Location was perfect, easy access to Interstate 25, downtown Pueblo and the Riverwalk were within 10 minutes of driving time.

All the recent 1 star reviews are accurate. Definitely not up to Hilton standards. Checked into room, half eaten rotting apple on the nightstand. Toilet wouldn’t flush, if it did flush wouldn’t stop running, no maintenance available. On app and on a note given at check in, breakfast is listed from 6:30-9:30. Went down for breakfast at 9:15, breakfast was already closed. When asked, the guy at the front desk he said it’s posted on the wall that breakfast is over at 9:00. No to go breakfast bags available like every other Hampton Inn. Had a conference call run long past 11, front desk called twice and by 11:30 they were pounding on the door and threatening to charge me for another night. No late checkout for Diamond members. Not hotels fault but homeless population in the area is bad but no extra security at the hotel, don’t feel secure leaving anything in vehicle. Out of the 100’s of Hampton Inns I have stayed at, this was the worst.

Rooms are not clean. Staff is unwilling to accommodate a simple request of a few minutes extra prior to checkout. I had a call that was scheduled to end at checkout time. They would not honor a request to extend checkout time even by 15 minutes. Staff was rude and acted like they were doing me a favor by even talking with me.

Skip Pueblo. No police presence and all the windows broken out of a car and everything stolen. Police will not respond so hotel staff can not assist and only watch. Gave the poor victim a discount on her room. She was in tears in the parking lot. All her meds were stolen, personal and professional records and cash. She planned to sit in the parking lot waiting for her husband who was 7 hours away. Breakfast was great and hard working staff kept everything stocked and tidy. But we will not return.

Older hotel with scratch ,scraped, and beat up furniture. Now because the place is in such a bad area and they’ve had so much problems, they charge a parking fee for security. When they charge a parking fee and don’t ask you if you even park a vehicle and when you talk to them, they say they need it for security reasons they were forced to do it. I want you to realize like I have that this is the wrong place to stay. These type of hotels with this parking policy have to be eliminated when there’s no reason to pay for parking What a crappy area

My daughter travels extensively with her job and stays exclusively at Hilton properties whenever possible. She had booked a reservation, using her accumulated points, at this property for my visit in early March. When I arrived at approximately 2:30 pm on the afternoon of 3/1/23 to check in, I was informed by the front desk person that my reservation had been cancelled! He informed me that they had emailed me earlier that day to contact them concerning the reservation. Since I was on an airplane flying from Arizona and had received emails previously confirming my reservation, I had no ability or reason to check my emails that day. I asked to speak with the manager to try to figure out a solution. They said my daughter's points would be refunded, but it could take 24 to 48 hours to be processed. Since my daughter is a resident of Pueblo, they informed us that their policy is not to accept reservations for Pueblo residents even though the reservation was for an out of state customer. When we asked to see the policy, both the front desk person and the manger began to become agitated and of course couldn't show us their unwritten and discriminatory policy. I found out that TripAdvisor doesn't allow emails to be posted in a review, but the gist of their email that they sent earlier that day said they "do not accept Pueblo citizens". When we asked why they didn't call her, they said they couldn't access her phone number in her Hilton Awards account. My daughter and I were still pretty calm at this point and I suggested that as a gesture of good will and customer service that they comp a room for me that night and my daughter would rebook a room for the remainder of my stay the next day when her points might be restored from their cancellation. Well, that was the wrong thing to say I guess. The manager became VERY angry, didn't yell, but raised her voice and declared "I'M NOT COMPING YOU A ROOM!" and stormed away from the front desk. The most frustrating and puzzling thing about this whole ordeal is that 2 years ago my daughter booked a room for me using her points at this very same hotel and there was no problem with a "Pueblo citizen" making a reservation. I feel badly for residents of Pueblo that this hotel discriminates against them.

Problems included: TV did not work at all. No maintenance available. Phone not connected and no place visible to connect it around near bed/bedside table. Had to use my cellphone to contact front desk. Nail sticking up at least 1/4 inch above floor between entryway and carpet. Dangerous. Will try to attach photo. No information given about pool, exercise room availability and hours. No information given about nearby places to eat or order food. Okay aspects of stay: room appeared basically clean; breakfast adequate; staff friendly.

Anytime I go to check in to a hotel at 7pm and the FRONT door is locked it sends up red flags about how sketchy the neighborhood might be, and I immediately felt unsafe. I asked the front desk clerk if they lock the door at night because the neighborhood was unsafe, he said "Oh no, it's locked all the time." answering my question, I guess. The room wasn't very clean, the bed was downright uncomfortable and in need of replacing. The elevators were dirty. This building is in desperate need of remodeling, or rebranding, it is definitely not up to Hampton Inn standards at all.

Response from Tiffanie Krupka, General Manager at Hampton Inn & Suites Pueblo/North
Responded Dec 22, 2022
We appreciate all the feedback from our guests. So, first of all with the door being locked it has nothing to do with being in an unsafe area. We started locking the doors 24 hours once covid hit, and we saw such an improvement with less traffic coming in and out of the hotel that we decided to keep them locked all the time. It is for everyone's safety. To be honest most of all hotels are also locking their doors. I am very sorry to hear that the room was not that clean, my housekeeping strives to make sure all their rooms are clean and up to standards. I will most defiantly be talking with all my housekeeping staff about it all. Our hotel is getting ready to get all the mattress changed out and replace with new ones. Again, we appreciate all the feedback from all our guests. Happy Holidays

After making a reservation through the 800 service, we were refused a room due to having a service animal & 2 small dogs. They explained when I tried to check in that there is a 2 pet limit…usually service animals are not counted as a pet. I left and arranged lodging elsewhere. They charged us for a room we never checked into. They have not responded to requests for a refund & have been rude & dismissive on the phone.
