We stopped here on our anniversary and were not disappointed! Adorable dwelling with pleasant and enthusiastic owners. There's a therapeutic hot tub in a shelter in the courtyard with muted lights so you can enjoy the night without bright colors. The rooms are quaint and you can tell they are well cared for. Bed was fairly comfortable, with plenty of... More

We stayed in this beautiful lodge for one night last year. It was very nice and welcoming. The owner operator was kind and the rooms were warm. Family friendly, it was nice and quiet. This year we are going to stay two days, we love it there.

We have stayed a couple times this winter. Reasonably priced, and rooms to accommodate nearly every situation. We especially like #15 with 2 rooms, bunks for kids! Rooms 9/10 can be booked together for mother in law, or for trips with kids. Dog friendly (modest fee). This is super close to Monarch, and not too far from Salida restaurants. Elevation... More

I fell in love with this place. My stay Christmas week was cozy, comfortable, and best yet, just down the road from Monarch ski area and just up the road from Salida. Teresa, the owner, is down-to-earth friendly and accommodating. The love and care she puts into her lodge is obvious and revealed in every detail. Randy

We loved our stay at Poncha Lodge. Warm, cosy rooms (and we loved the goat painting!) at excellent rates. Lovely owners who made us feel totally at home. Plus a fabulous hot tub. What more could you want!

This is a wonderful stop enroute to The Great Sand Dunes National Park. We needed a room for 5 adults and 1 child and we fit in beautifully and comfortably. Great beds. Teresa Dunlap who is the owner has put love and care into this little motel - even has a spa and a sweet garden. More than that, she... More

This is an amazing place to stay! It has a very warm and fuzzy feel, the owner really goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. Staying here took me back to a better place in time feel when life was just more simple and easy. It has a real nice courtyard and a great hot tub. The... More

Room was clean, excellent bed. Very nice outdoor courtyard. Outdoor areas very well kept up with flowers etc. We really enjoyed a partial mountain view sitting in the courtyard. It's nice to be able to drive up to your Motel room door.

Rates are reasonable, rooms are clean and tidy, scrapped my plan of camping and stayed 5 days. Nice and quiet, but close enough to the conveniences of Salida. Owner is very friendly and accommodating, genuinely nice.

We were traveling through the southern mountains in CO and were tired and just happen to see this place and I am so glad we did. The lady that owns the place is very nice and all of the rooms have been redone. Each room has its own design and the rooms were immaculately clean. There is also a hot... More
