Family ski trip at spring break; first time to ski for teenaged children. We are regulars to Colorado in summer owning our own non-winterized cabin in Creede, but first time winter explorers. Bottom line is the visit to High Country Lodge set the tone for the entire trip. Before, during, and at checkout, these folks attended to our interests, needs,... More

Booked this based on other Trip Advisor reviews and was not disappointed. Nice room in the lodge, with fridge and microwave. Welcoming check in area with fireplace and computer for guest use. Large breakfast room with large variety of foods for breakfast. Excellent beds. DVD collection and board games available for guest use. Only issue I had probably is meaningless... More

this place has a great little niche. Includes hot tubs, a good breakfast, very helpful staff, and clear rooms at very reasonable rates. Very close to Pagosa Springs and Wolf Creek as well. Only down side is that it actually is not in pagosa springs but outside a few miles, but that's really no big deal as you're going to... More

We look forward to your return-your child would have a great time here-there are so many activities in this area, that it's impossible to be bored. We are 2 miles outside of Pagosa... More

Great amenities including hot tubs on a frigid evening, good wifi signal and the best bisquits and gravy and coffee you can imagine served on the weekends. Their breakfast was always good and the staff was very helpful and always courteous. It is a very charming place and this year they added a snow tubing area just outside the cabins.... More

This is an awesome, cozy lodge to stay close to town and Wolf Creek. We stayed two nights at the lodge this past weekend, and we felt very much at home. It was our last vacation before our first baby arrives. We stayed in the lodge and the room was very nice. I loved how the owners updated most items... More

Deciding to make a last minute trip to Pagosa Springs (Wolf Creek) for skiing we were a little concerned about finding decent accommodations. Let me begin by saying, I am a hotel snob. Recent military retirees, we've lived and traveled all over the world and no stranger to hotels and motels. I found New Years eve availability at High Country... More

Recently stayed at the High Country Lodge for 3 days. The drive to the ski lifts not TOO far from this resort (15 minutes each way). The beds were nice, as was the breakfast. I will say, really the only negative to this place, was the showers. Me and my party had two rooms, so it wasn't just my room's... More

This is one of those times, when a 30 second call or visit to the front desk would have made all the difference. We are available to our guests 24/7, and will immediately respond to resolve any issue no matter when it arises. Why put up with poor water pressure (due to mineral build up in the shower head) when... More

We are from Durango but were attending a New Years Eve party in Pagosa. Called High Country Lodge and made a room reservation, but got a call a few days later saying that a cabin had come available....very nice touch. From our previous experience with the property, I can tell that the new owners have really done a lot of... More

I am a Colorado girl. Raised in Fort Collins. This is the first time to Pagosa Springs. High Country Lodge was exactly what our family was looking for. A private cabin, space to play with our kids and dog, skiing near by,hot tubs, inner tubing out our front door, and time to enjoy natures winter beauty! The staff at High... More

First time in a cabin during winter and I have to say we had the best time. Beautiful cabin and it was really warm & cozy despite the single-digit weather. Never seen so much snow being South Texas.
