We have been coming to Pagosa Springs for 10 years to see the fall colors and to soak in the mineral baths. We always stay at the High Country Lodge. This year we tried a one bedroom cabin as opposed to the smaller one room cabins. We were not disappointed ! While High Country lodge has always been a quaint... More

We booked this motel sight unseen due to our other choices having no availability for the dates of our visit. We checked reviews and were a little worried because reviewers said it was noisy due to Hwy in front of property . We had a great stay and the noise was a non issue. The motel is older but very... Two miles north of town toward Wolf Creek, it is not the most convenient. Reasonable prices. Now for the good part: the managers are from Canada, very helpful and personable. One of the best breakfast setups I've seen, with plenty of fruit, hardboiled or scrambled eggs, cereal, a real coffee maker with a selection from decaf to cappucino, toaster, waffle... More

Thank you for your kind review-we always appreciate our guests who take time to share their experience here. While its true we are 2 miles from town, we still feel it's advantageous because of the views, the trees and wildlife and our fishing pond. It is really only 5 minutes to the center of down town or the hot springs,... More

Great, CLEAN inn right on our way through Pagosa Springs. We enjoyed the hot tubs, th redone room, and the cozy lobby where they had hot tea available 24/7. Overall, a great place. Yummy, hot breakfast in the morning. We loved it all!

The remodeling definitely was completed in our room. I was unsure how comfortable the lodge would be. I knew it was an older building and sometimes that can be an issue. I found the bed very comfortable, the bathroom was nice and very clean. I noticed the new flat screen TV but "It's Pagosa" so did not watch any TV... More

Thank you for your wonderful review. It feels so good to be appreciated by the people who matter most to us-our guests! The new tvs are great, but I would rather look at the mountains and the changing seasons any day of the week! It sounds like you really enjoyed Pagosa Springs, and our lodge, and that's what counts .... More

ROOM 101 stay on Sept 9-10th 2012: the new owners are slowly remodeling and working hard to improve the overall quality of the lodge. It is old but in pretty good shape. Our bed was not too soft or hard, average bathroom size with tub/shower combo. flat screen tvs, tho they sit quit low on the lowboy dresser and if... More

The owners have obviously put a lot of thought into what thier quests would like during their stay. We stayed in the lodge (they also have cabins) and it was immaculate. I want to start by saying I DO NOT think the lodge made a mistake. I made reservations about 2 months before arriving and I am not sure if I booked direct or from outside source (travelocity, orbitz, etc...). When I arrived (around 10:30 pm) the desk was closed down without my keys hanging up front. Manager couldn't find me... More

Thank you so much for writing a review. First off, High Country is located a few miles outside of town on a very spacious piece od property which made it very appealing to me. You have a choice of motel rooms or cabins. We chose the small cabin because we wanted more room and privacy than just a hotel room, but we did not need more than a... More

Sounds like you had a great time while staying here. Next time you might enjoy the small 1 bedroom cabin, which would be 408 or 409, if it's just 2 of you. Those 2 cabins have a separate bedroom (with a brand new king mattress), and a separate living room/kitchen area, plus bath. These have more room to roam, but... More
