We stayed here before renovations, but still a lovely place - very quiet and outside the hub-bub of town...great fishing pond....breakfast nice and cannot wait to stay in the winter with the tubing hill

Actually, we have finished most renovations, the latest being new furniture and air conditioners, as well as a hiking trail for your enjoyment. As we see items that can be improved or add guest comfort and satisfaction, we include them whenever possible. We want HCL to feel like your home away from home, and will look forward to seeing you... More

I was at the Lodge last week with my mom and my aunt. The location is delightful with a crown of mountain on the back and gorgeous grounds with 3 hot tubs open air from where you can look at the stars above. Plentiful bfast (I loved the maple waffles) and very attentive staff: my mom had forgotten a dress... More

We are so glad you had such a good time with your family-making memories is what it's all about. And HCL is a great place place for that! Everyone seems to have a favorite activity when here, but many times, just relaxing with friends and family--enjoying the view, grilling a steak, and catching up with each other-means the most. Thank... More

after reading other reviews here, made a late change to stop here after a long drive across state rather than continue to Durango. Wish we had more than one night here. Loved our 1 bedroom cabin- was plenty of room for my wife, two kids and I. Enjoyed the hot tubs while the kids played tetherball and horseshoes. Just a... More

We wish you could have stayed longer too! There is so much in the Pagosa Springs area to see and explore and the kids would have loved tubing in the river. Maybe you can come back again when you have more time. Thank you so much for staying with us and writing a review. We really appreciate it when guests... More

I stayed in one of the cabins with my wife and two boys and had a great time. The newly-refurbished three-room cabin had beautiful wood paneling . . . warm and roomy . . . a bedroom with two queen beds, very nice bathroom, and a combined kitchen/living room area with a modern kitchenette, dining room table and wall-mounted flat... We stayed here August 16th in a cabin, 407, for 1 night. The cabin was just as advertised. A bedroom, with a door you can shut for privacy, with two very comfy queen beds/lots of pillows, lamps, alarm clock. A couch in the main room with a fold out sleeper. We did not need the sleeper as it was just... More

The staff at this lodge is awesome. They are very friendly and more than happy to answer questions, recommend restaurants (and the recommendations are good!) and help in any way that they can. We stayed in the actual lodge (there are also cabins in back which look very nice). The lodge is pretty close to the highway but we didn't... More

Our family stayed in the cabins while driving through Colorado with our four teenagers and we are so glad we did! The owners Bob and France were welcoming, accommodating and gracious. They love what they do and it shows. The cabins are. charmingly decorated and extremely comfortable. No detail is overlooked. The area had so much to do we wish... More

Sounds like you had a great time on your tour this year. Glad the hot tubs helped you relax after all the activities. We stayed here last time we were in Pagosa and vowed to stay again next time. We booked a room on Saturday last week for the next night (Sunday.) (Cancellation policy clearly states 2 weeks.) Sunday morning we had car trouble, and we were unable to make the drive. I called and staff was VERY understanding and relisted the cabin... More

This motel is great value. It is a few miles out of the heart of Pagosa Springs, but the location is okay. The service was very friendly. The breakfast was simple, but of high quality and the atmosphere was nice. There were plenty of on site facilities - the hot tubs were great. The rooms could do with a bit... More
