Stayed here for 1 night on our way through CO with an RV. We arrived late and staff was helpful in showing us to our site and locating a grill pit as our site didn't have one. Hung around for a bit the next morning as our kids wanted to use the pool but it was cold and not very... More

To start off, we landed in this campground due to a busy 4th of July weekend and we wanted to have a place that we could reserve. The only defense I have for this place is that it can't get any more crowded than a 4th of july weekend This place is so overcrowded, you could easily redo this site... More

I understand that these type of places aren't really meant for people who wish to experience the great outdoors and camp. I'm sure they mainly cater to RVs and trailers but the tent sites were a joke! We specifically wanted a tent site referred to as the grass sites. Grass there was none to be seen. It should have been... More

The good~Lake front tent sites & full hookup sites. Few bugs, fishing right there too. The in need items: They need to put down rock & oil to cut the dust. Lots of dust! If you pick the river, you have a long walk to the office showers and toilets. If you are self-contained its no problem. Showers are three,... More

After reading all the glowing comments we made a reservation. This place is a dump. It's old and badly in need of updating and maintaining. It's nothing more that a gravel lot with very little shade. The pool is above the ground and small the playground has one play set, the laundry room is very old with only two dryers.... More

[Tent camping the weekend of 05/16/2014] Camp right on the San Juan, clean sites, fishing right outside your tent (won't catch anything, but the kids loved trying), immaculate bathrooms/showers, well-stocked front office convenience store that doesn't practice price-gouging, friendly staff, neat hummingbird population, extremely close to town but not so close that you smell the awful Springs sulfur. This campground has some awesome possibilities. The location is spectacular, being right on the San Juan River and a private pond. Walking by the river at any time of the day is so special. There are many areas of the park that could be updated and improved. The swimming pool is a joke and the playground needs help. The bathrooms... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. The campground is about a mile from town, right off the highway to Wolf Creek Pass. When you drive off the highway, the road takes you down to the riverside and away from civilization. There are tons of trees and the sound of the fast flowing river, takes away any street noise. There is... More

We were tent camping during our 5 day stay at this campground. The staff was wonderful to interact with. The building facility is old and I agree with other comments that they could stand to be updated. The water heater went out while we were there, so hot showers were not available for 2 days, but the staff did all... More

Let me start by saying that I fulltime rv and rarely stay in RV parks. I like space, privacy, quiet. When I do stay in one it is for the following reasons and because I can't find another option in an area. The good about this place is that the person at check in, probably a work camper, was friendly... More
