We stayed at Sportsmans a couple weeks ago while in the Pagosa Springs area. The area around the campground has top-notch scenery - among the best in Colorado. The campground is located in a forested area and there are good amenities like a lodge room with a pool table, a small store, playground, etc. The staff was really nice as... More

Very nice campground outside Pagosa Springs. Lot's of opportunity to walk the back roads with beautiful pines and rolling hills. The store is well stocked and the folks running it were nice as can be. We did have some problems with a very load party going on near us. We liked this campground because it made a good base camp... We loved staying at Sportsman's Campground! After researching many of the area's campgrounds/Rv parks, I chose Sportsman's because 1) from the map, it didn't look like they tried to cram as many spaces as possible onto the property 2) the tall trees and 3) it was out of town, near some good fishing spots and hiking trails. All of my... More

Have stayed there several times. It never disappoints. The clubhouse is great the restrooms and showers are always clean. They have a nice laundry room. The general stores carries everything you need. They have a horse outfit on site for horse back rides or hunting trips. It is located 11.2 miles from beginning of town. This is a plus for... More

This was a lovely RV park! We stayed in August 2014. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. Very nice clubhouse and showers. Well stocked grocery story. The only drawback was it's about 20 miles outside of town and 12 miles of that is a well maintained dirt road. But the drive is so lovely you won't mind!!

This year will be our 4th time to stay in the Sportsman's Campground. We always rent one of the very nice and reasonably priced cabins. They are furnished with everything but food. The small store in the campground has some food items. Jon Reed who runs the camp is so nice and helpful. A great campground close to many trail... More

Let me open by saying we don't typically stay in private campgrounds. What caught my attention with this campground was the location - about 15 miles north of town, along a forest service road, near plenty of fishing access. The location paid off, as I was able to fish the Piedra River while my family rode horseback right from the... More

I am conflicted with this review because the people at Sportsmans are so amazingly nice and helpful. We didn't have a terrible stay, it just wasn't exactly what we were looking for. We stayed in the "Rio Grande" which is their biggest cabin. It is a very cute little cabin. It has any possible thing you may ever need. Games,... More

I am always disappointed when we fail to meet or exceed expectations and I wish I had a better response. Due to input from a few guests we did replace the king bed in the Rio Grande (as well as the bed in the Chisum). All of our beds have now been replaced in the past few years. I apologize... More

So relaxing and enjoyable. so much to see or not!!!! We did everything from relaxing in the cabin to hiking around Williams reservoir and up to Piedra falls! The facilities were well kept & staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend this to anyone seeking an enjoyable time. Weather relaxing or looking for an active time - you will... More

We stayed here for a quick overnight trip and sure wished we had planned a longer visit. It was a beautiful location and the Cowboy Cabin we stayed in was so cute and comfortable we just loved it. We have a family of four and even though the cabin was small, we all had our comfortable places to sleep and... More
