We went here for a wedding this summer. The grounds were well kept and the views were beautiful! The weird thing was that there were over 150 people and only like 3 people helping. The bartender/server/grounds keeper, Ron, was kinda creepy. He watched everyone like we were trespassing and told us we "could not walk around the grounds" before the... More

The most outstanding feature of the Canyon Crest Lodge is the service you will receive from the hosts. We arrived very late one evening, with a last minute reservation while traveling on business. The proprietors of Canyon Crest Lodge were gracious at every turn of our whirlwind visit. Thank you very much!

Rooms and house beautiful, great views, deer on lawn and turkeys, just the peace and quiet I needed. Valerie was very friendly and accommodating-since we were the only guests and we weren't a couple she offered to upgrade our one king bed room to a two bed room without extra charge. Breakfasts were lovely. In booking the room I had... More

"NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED" I am so sorry to learn that you were unhappy with your discounted stay. You booked a room with ONE KIng bed for two ladies at $165.00 plus tax per night. At the time of booking I offered a 25% DISCOUNT ON THE THIRD NIGHT total with tax $493.68. Being generous I gave a 10%... More

A lovely quiet getaway from the stresses of life. Hard to believe that the house is 18 years old, because everything is so immaculate that it looks brand new. Valerie feels like an old friend only 2 days after meeting her. And such a pleasant surprise to find lots of aspens around Pagosa still near their peak on October 22.

Canyon Crest Lodge was a perfect setting for a beautiful wedding. Scott and Amanda were married under a primitive looking arbor with tons of wild flowers growing everywhere. The view was spectacular and the surroundings were simple, lush, and very appropriate for a formal event. They were married at sunset making the scene even more spectacular. I'm so happy to... More

This is a must for anyone interested in an outdoor wedding. The panoramic view was the perfect backdrop for Scott and Amanda's wedding. There was plenty of parking and the large outdoor tent for the reception was more than accommodating for all the guests, a dance floor and a seated dinner. Very memorable.

This is a sacred piece of earth for the union of two lives and their commitment in marriage. The coming together of two families to support and witness this grand event will be remembered for all eternity. Valerie and all the staff are exceptionally professional, helpful, courteous, competent and extremely skilled at managing a large crowd. A memorable event for... More

I was less than thrilled when my daughter announced she was having a destination wedding. I worried that being in an unfamiliar town would add a lot of stress to the normal last minute scurrying around to take care of loose ends. I need not have worried. Valerie is an exceptional hostess who really knows what she's doing and made... More

My son's wedding was absolutely beautiful. The venue and the views were spectacular. Valerie's calming presence kept everyone sane. Everything was absolutely perfect and far exceeded my expectations. The vendor she recommended were were great. She put together an absolutely lovely reception. The highest compliment came from my 13-year-old nephew who said when he got married he wanted to come... Gorgeous views and setting for our daughter's wedding. Valerie, the host, was well organized, calming, and friendly, and helped to make Amanda and Scott's special day a smashing success. Nothing but smiles can be seen when perusing all the lovely photographs...(haven't seen the pros yet!). The food was delicious and abundant, and the cakes were delicious and beautiful. The ladies...
