We stayed at the Clipper in late October & we found the Inn very nicely appointed & our room was comfortable , we had an ok breakfast. Our Hosts were friendly but business like. We marked our stay down because we arrived to a blocked toilet & no one was available to help untill the following morning despite using the... more

One of our best stays in Ouray. The colors were beautiful. The Inn was great. Very quiet and comfortable. In my opinion one of the best places to stay in Ouray. Many of the other hotels and BnBs are old and not nearly as comfortable. We will stay again. more

The inn is beautiful...our room was comfortable. BUT...when I stay at a B&B, I like to feel a bit more at home. Each night, at home, I have a cup of tea, however here, I felt like the kitchen was off limits. Breakfasts were okay. The service during breakfast was excellent. The young girl serving us was attentive and sweet.... more

We recently spent a week at the China Clipper and it was a wonderful experience. Our room (the Captain's Quarters) was lovely and quite large. Comfy king size bed and a great private deck on the 2nd floor facing the mountains that surround the town. Also a great jacuzzi tub, big enough for two. The breakfasts were very good, and... more

We spent three nights in Ouray staying at the China Clipper Inn and had a fabulous time. The Inn was a perfect homebase for exploring Ouray and the limitless activities that can be found in the environs. Breakfast and happy hour at the Inn were lots of fun, the hosts made everyone feel very comfortable. Rooms were large and very... more

My husband and I recently spent three nights at the China Clipper Inn, in one of their "premium" first floor rooms. We felt it was a bit cramped. Lots of furniture, but only one chair. (There were two plastic chairs and a table just outside the room, but a cigar-smoking guest prevented us from sitting out there one evening.) Also,... more

Very nice inn. We had the Romance of the Seas room to get a king bed and it was nicely-sized with lovely decor. One unexpected drawback is that the shower is located in the jacuzzi-type tub, so you had to step over the high tub side just to get a shower. Wouldn't be good for the physically challenged and I... more

We quickly selected the China Clipper based on pictures on their web site and price. For $85 we expected a clean, functional, and accommodating place to simply spend a night. We were blown away once we arrived. The Inn itself was as much of a destination for us as was the surrounding beauty of Ouray. There were numerous special touches... more

Elegant and comfortable. We stayed in Boulder, Colorado Springs, Vail, but Ouray and the China Clipper Inn was the best part of our trip. The town is great, the innkeeper knowledgeable and accommodating. The Inn has a number of nice rooms, and we looked at several before deciding on ours. It rained the entire time we were in Ouray but... more

We had a great trip. Our stay at the China Clipper Inn was THE HIGHLIGHT of so many highlights. We enjoyed the hospitality of the China Clipper. The Inn is so beautiful and comfortable, the hosts very gracious, helpful and delight ful. The wonderful conversations with the hosts and other guests sparked more interesting topics among us as the trip... more
