Not sure what brings many folks to Norwood, CO but should you be in the neighborhood, this is a great place to spend the night. It is a newer, clean motel. Rooms aren't big but have everything you need. Nice little fridge and microwave in the room, plus warm chocolate chip cookies in the lobby. Telluride is 35-40 minutes away.... More

We stopped here for the night on our way to Moab. We were delighted by cookies and coffee in the lobby. Our room was clean and comfy. There were a set of bunk beds in the room,as well as our king bed, which results in a smaller space. But it would be great if you have kids. No desk and... More

Norwood CO is about 500 people but has a very good quality motel. There are only 10 rooms but they are very clean with comfortable beds. Bathroom was clean also with plenty of hot water and towels (as well as rags for cleaning window, etc). Reception was great and offered home baked cookies and fresh coffee. There is no restaurant... I stayed at the BackCountry Inn for 5 days in April of 2014. I honestly did not expect the quality of the hotel that I found. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The wifi worked well and there was even Direct TV with multiple movie channels. The room had plenty of beds but did lack a desk. I would... More

I am wrapping up a long weekend at the BackCountry Inn. I was looking for a good budget option that would allow me to ski at Telluride over the president's day weekend without having to mortgage my apartment, and I came across the BackCountry Inn in Norwood. They were able to arrange a three night stay and a three day... More

We recently spent two nights in Norwood, a town of 500. Just because it's small, that doesn't mean there isn't a hotel with amenities like gratis (working) wifi and cable television with lots of free movie channels, comfy beds, and clean floors! I slept all night my first night there -- normally a once-in-the-night-waker-upper, but the bed was so firm... More

BackCountry Inn is a small motel situated on the west side of Norwood, Colorado. We were in town to visit our son and needed a place to stay. The room was super clean and comfortable. No discernible road noise or sounds from the other room, even though the next room was occupied. I would be delighted to stay there again.

We stumbled upon BackCountry Inn in Norwood, CO in a rainstorm - tired and in need of a place to stay for a family of four. The room was clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone and will absolutely stay here again when our travels take us... More

I stumbled on this Inn through a google search for hotels near Ridgway. I wondered how on earth there was a hotel with such high ratings on the tiny town of Norwood. Taking a chance I booked it for our motorcycle ride. Wow, what a fantastic little hotel. From the beautiful lawn out front, to the sparkling rooms, to the... More

Not your typical small town motor lodge! This place was recently remodeled with above average finishes... Super clean and cozy rooms, the owner was extremely friendly and provide fantastic restaurant and route (motorcycle touring) recommendations. Will be telling all our friends about this hidden gem!
