As others have said, this is a rustic, fairly comfortable place with great views, access to all sorts of trails, climbs, Nederland joints, and the like. If you're after a fitness room, a bodacious free breakfast, a swimming pool for the kiddies, keep on traveling. Bathrooms are small, but quite serviceable. Windows don't always open, and there's no a/c --... More

The room is clean, mattress not very comfortable, no soap in the bathroom, no shampoo or hair dryer. The lodge is the just under a mile from town, the 1st street pub has great food. The views are wonderful. One concern- the front door does not have a dead bolt or chain, the back door has dead bolt, back window... More

We needed someplace to stay in Nederland at the last minute and decided on the Sundance. I've driven by there for years and have eaten in the attached restaurant but never stayed over. All twelve units have outstanding west facing views. The rooms are old, clean, and have appropriate mountain decor inside. Our room had old snowshoes, skis, on the... More

This is a great place to stay. The views are awesome. We have stayed at the Sundance for years, until Travis came along. I refused to stay there for the last 2 and a half years while it was under Travis. He is now gone along with all of the problems. In August, Cindy and her daughter were doing a... More

For the price, we could have stayed at La Quinta in Denver, or here, and sit outside and witness a gorgeous sunset over the mountains. The room was. "Rustic" and half the price of a tourist trap in Estes Park. Totally worth it.

I mean superfreek, he is crazy as it gets,if he is acting he gets the academy award. He isnt scary... More

not a lodge, but a motel...... plus: awesome view, heat, hot water, soaps and clean towels, ok bed, wifi, t.v. negative: overpriced, unprofessional manager, sometimes lucid sometimes in another galaxy. dingy unwashed blanket and toss pillow, room was never made up or cleaned for 3 nights compromise; stay one night if you must! the sundance cafe is a separate business... My family stayed at the Sundance Lodge this spring for 10 days while we were waiting for our house to close in Ned. Travis (the Manager) gave us a great rate on our stay there, much better than the Best Western. I can't believe the whiny posts from the Eurolanders from Terrorville about the Sundance Lodge. Hello - Nederland is... More
