I had a nice conversation with the woman who checked me in, and for the price, it's not a bad room. I mean, there's even a microwave. I'd have to say that the bed wasn't the most comfortable for me, and the pillows were a little flat for my taste. The sheets are a bit scratchy and with it being... More

Our group of 10 stayed here on a motorcycle trip through Colorado. This was the nicest place we stayed the whole week, for several reasons. The price was excellent - I can't understand how people can complain about breakfast choices or windows with no screens when they're paying what we paid for our rooms. The rooms all had air conditioning... More

My friend and I are bicycle touring through Colorado, and we reserved our room through Jeff, the manager. Jeff was very friendly and gave us great advice about our ride. The room was clean and comfortable!! I have nothing bad to say about the quality of the rooms. The lodge is quaint and reminiscent of mid 20th century architecture (think... More

Built in the 50's but well maintained. Our room was clean and had no strange smells. I would of gave it a 4 star but 3 things that turned us off was 1.the linens need to be upgraded including the towels. 2. No real choice for breakfast except donuts and oat meal. I asked if they had real milk for the... More

I used the reviews to make my choice and was very disappointed. The windows were very difficult to open and had no screens. The furniture was very old and badly warn. When we turned on the heat pump it smelled as if it was on fire. We stayed in a room facing the main road and was noisy most of... More

This is a very cosy, clean motel with an original style and very friendly, helpful hosts. The only 2 points that bothered us were the breakfast (a choice between horrible super sweet donuts and watery instant hot cereal ) and a strange smell in our apt., maybe coming up through pipes, that came back every time we shut the window.... This place was built in the 50s, so don't expect the sterile, huge rooms of the Hilton. However, the gardens and pool area are spectacular, the rooms are comfy enough, and the whole place is thoroughly enjoyable. A great bargain, we thought.

My husband and i travel quite a bit and whenever we are close to Montrose this is the place we stay. Everyone is always always friendly, the rooms are cool as hell. The grounds are kept up with beautiful flowers and the pool is always crystal clear

A complete change from the standard chains. This is a 1950's motor lodge with the original cast iron tub and a scale that folds out of a compartment in the bathroom wall. They rooms are spacious and have been decorated in various themes. We stayed in the "Lodge Room" which is a two room suite with wood paneling and 3... More
