We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Mansion. The decor is so relaxing and charming. Our bedroom (Isabella Byrd room) was so lovely and the bathroom clean and roomy. Eileen, the proprietor, was as charming as her B&B. She was very accomodating and kind. The breakfast of homemade yogurt with homemade granola & strawberries & blueberries, homemade dried cherry scones... More

We stayed at The Mansion on very short notice and what a wonderful refuge it was! It is a beautifully authentic restoration of a wonderful old home. Very clean throughout, comfortable beds, cozy towels, and a gracious hostess who attends to your every need. The breakfast was delicious with Eileen catering to our dietary restrictions. We will be staying there... More

Anywhere else this B&B would be booked every night at three times the price. It is a stunning mansion of dark wood and lovely, spacious rooms. We had the place to ourselves on our brief trip to southern Colorado and it was a wonderful introduction to the area. The bed was great and there wasn't much noise even though we... More

Eileen is a wonderful hostess and gave us some great tips on what to see. (We would have missed the Creede Repertory Theatre otherwise.) The food is good, most of it homemade. The house is well renovated, clean and in good repair. The bed was really comfortable! The only quibble I have would be with the bathroom. We stayed in... More

Eileen is a terrific host and a great cook. The rooms are nicely decorated and cozy. Located a couple blocks from downtown shopping, resturants, services. If you are looking for a stay along Highway 160 this is a great pick.

Impeccably renovated, spacious, lovely rooms, lots of natural light. Gourmet food (organic when possible). Hostess is gracous beyond compare. One of the best things: everywhere you look, there is a some sweet detail--a vase, a little ceramic figurine, the cream sherry before bed. . . We can't say enough good about this delightful place. The only detraction: It is located... More

My husband and I were in Monte Vista for a wedding and decided to stay for one night at a nice bed and breakfast to just relax. The Mansion Bed and Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous. Eileen and her daughter did a great job redoing the place. They kept all the great old craftsmen style architecture and features with new and... More

We wanted to see the Great Sand Dunes National Park, and we wanted to stay somewhere nice. We found this B&B on the internet. It's advertised as being built in 1909. There are 4 guest rooms, 2 with private bath. The yard is small, but it's nicely landscaped. Off-street parking is provided. Our host, Eileen Ford, told us she has... More
