Chateau de Launay is located on a country estate outside the town of Mery Corban. Owner Mark and his friendly dog Oscar welcomed us and helped with luggage which was very appreciated. The room was on the first floor overlooking the front garden. It was of an adequate size with a modern ensuite and a very large shower. Mark provides... More

We stayed there for three nights and really enjoyed the hospitality of Mark, the owner. My little daughter fell in love with Oscar, the charming Labrador of the chateau. Mark seems to know everything about the region - the history, the culture, the food, the drinks, etc. – and was very helpful in every aspect. Rooms are clean and nice... More

Our stay at Mark's Chateau de Launay was excellent. My wife and I originally had some difficulty finding the B&B as we had arrived in the general area after the sun had set. The B&B is not clearly posted on the road signs until you are almost right there. The chateau dates back to the mid-nineteenth century and reflects a... More

My wife and I stayed here for just one night during our stay in the Normandy region, but really wish we had stayed longer. Mark and Valerie were very welcoming and saw to our every need. Oscar the yellow lab was a friendly addition as well. Would highly recommend this gem - especially if interested in the Cidre Route as... More

My wife and I stayed at Chateau de Launay for two nights in September. Mark and Valérie (the owners) are wonderful and we cannot say enough positive things about our stay. We stayed in the Chambre Jaune. The room was spacious and decorated very nicely. The bed was comfortable; we had no trouble sleeping through our alarms the second night.... More

We spent four days and nights at Chateau Launay as a way to avoid the common hotel experience. It was a wonderful experience we cannot wait to repeat again in the future. Mark, the owner, attended to our every need and prepared a fantastic breakfast everyday. The rooms have modern showers and new tile (plus are very clean). You can't... More

We stayed in the Chambre Aubergine for 2 nights. The location of the chateau is perfect for exploring the region, the Route du Cidre and the coast. The room itself is decorated in the classical style of the chateau and was very comfortable. The owner Mark was very friendly and helpful and he prepares a wonderful breakfast with croissants, baguettes... More

We stayed 2 nights in this lovely little chateau. Mark was an excellent host and the breakfast was a great start to each day. The room was warm, modern and comfortable. A very enjoyable stay and would happily stay here again.

We stayed in Chambre Aubergine at Chateau Launay for two nights in early October. Mark Janssen is a very friendly and welcoming host and I believe, in time, this will become a top notch B&B. He has made a good beginning. We enjoyed our stay and had no real complaints, but I will go into detail so you can decide... More

Chateau de Launay is welcoming and friendly. The owners go out of their way to assist guests by making dinner reservations and offering local information. Do not be concerned when your GPS says the address can not be found. The address is 5 Rue Ecoles; the GPS will only accept 2. Just follow the road until you see the sign... More
