Wow, this ranch was amazing!!! I actually used to own a small horse ranch as well as managed and was guest relations director for 2 other ranches so I know how hard the Mays and entire staff work to keep their guest VERY CONTENT!! It was top-notch and if you just go to Jessica K's review I can say everything... More

I apologize for being a little late to review BMR but our wonderful dude ranch vacation is still on my mind! We stayed the week of August 18 at the end of their summer family season and truly had one of the best vacation weeks we've ever had! Our family was a multi-generational group of 11 ranging in age from... More

You can't really describe it; you have to experience it! My husband & I own horses in Maine, decided this would be a perfect honeymoon. We went during an adults only week and had the time of our lives. The staff & owners are wonderful! The rides are geared toward the riders' experience levels, so we were able to go... More

I struggled a bit with whether to leave a 4 or 5 star review. The truth is, I feel like my expectations were impossibly high because all but 2 of the reviews so far have been 5 star reviews. In the end, I decided to give it 5 stars because it was so much fun, my riding improved by leaps... More

I arrived at Black Mountain Ranch alone, not knowing anyone, and left a week later with new friends from around the world, and memories of a truly amazing adventure. Everything about the week was perfect - I fell in love with my horse! The meals were fantastic! The May Family and the entire staff was so friendly and made us... More

Our week in July 2013 at Black Mtn Ranch with our 3 granddaughters was all we hoped it would be. The staff was amazing, the horses were awesome, the food and accommodations were great. The girls got to ride, help care for the animals, make new friends, and enjoy the beauty of the Colorado mountains. We rode every day through... More

I don't do rave reviews... but Black Mountain Ranch is rave-able. As an Australian looking for a ranch getaway, I was blown away by the experience I was given by the staff and family running Black Mountain Ranch. We were well fed, well cared for and well entertained. The riding was phenomenal. The views incredible. The people - my new... More
