We did not stay here, but got an amazing tour of some of the high end suites. It is a FANTASTIC property. The suites are named after the famous people that have stayed here. Each one is different. I have never seen anything so fantastic! We ate lunch here. It was OUTSTANDING! The very best sandwich I have ever had.... More

Located a block above the main touring thoroughfare, this elegant ancient beauty is quiet and restful. The staff was gracious and welcoming. Our room on 2nd floor had a bay window with a view of the mountains and Pike's Peak. It had a queen bed, a sitting area and was roomy & comfortable. We enjoyed a superb dinner in the... More

We went to Cliff House at Pikes Peak for Valentines Day and we both really enjoyed the hotel. Its very quaint, clean and cute. I like how close it is to the main street. The room was nice and comfortable. The restaurant food was terrific. Nothing really bad to say about this hotel, except that they forgot to put a... More

Enjoyed the feel of the historic hotel. Our room was smaller than we expected for a Jr suite so would probably not pay extra for it next time. We did like the food in the grill/bar. Long hallway to get to it. The dining room was closed temporally. Rooms were very clean and staff friendly. Since we were in off... More

This is the second time we've stayed at The Cliff House. Wonderful experience, very comfortable, clean and beautiful room! We stayed in the Zalmon Simmons suite and I've never had such a good night's rest! Everyone was kind and helpful and the breakfast was delicious! The location was very close to downtown but not noisy at all. I was so... More

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous room, superb service. Stayed 4 nights and really got to know some of the staff. The complimentary breakfast was awesome too. Near Garden of the Gods and cliff dwellings. Walk to shops and restaurants.

I had promised my wife this year, I would take more time away from work. We planned a long weekend, Thursday through Sunday, and chose the Cliff House based on a friend's recommendation. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice! Such a beautifully restored hotel with impeccable service to match!

My husband and I took a weekend trip to get away and had a wonderful time. The service at this lovely, historic hotel was outstanding. Everyone was so professional and courteous that it really felt like a pricey getaway, without the high price! I don't like to be hovered over too much, but the staff at the Cliff House seemed... Family unit needed digs for a few nights as we departed Denver and wanted to settle into our old stomping grounds in Colo Springs. Lived and worked in Manitou Springs back in the early 90's, and even though it's nothing like it used to be, the Cliff House is now open and operating -- it was a burned out wreck... More

The Cliff House was an amazingly beautiful hotel and was the perfect place to stay when it snowed 6+ inches during our stay. We were able to amble around the Manitou Springs area without having to worry about driving on the slick roads. The hotel itself was beautiful on the outside and very posh on the inside. The service was... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
What makes a hotel truly special?Prestige? Romance? Luxury? As a four diamond Colorado Springs Hotel, these attributes are very important, and we have each of them in abundance, but none of them matter as much as... the stories. The stories that are started here, by brides and grooms celebrating their weddings. The stories that are commemorated here, when couples choose us for their anniversaries. The stories that are shared here, when family vacations become unforgettable memories. Our stories really do matter: they define who we are. You see, as the premier historic hotel of the Greater Colorado Springs area, our history is forever intertwined with what we are today. In fact, The Cliff House is older than the State of Colorado itself! And just like your story, we have had our ups and downs: we have played host to famous dignitaries, and we have been a barracks for soldiers. Later floods and fires have even threatened our hotel's very existence. But, just like you, we've persevered. After our extensive remodel and grand re-opening in 1999, we quickly proved that The Cliff House is once again one of Colorado's finest luxury hotels. Nestled at the foot of majestic Pikes Peak, we've managed to keep all the trappings of Victorian elegance and luxury and also become a leader in innovative room features with state-of-the-art technology. Since 2001, we've consecutively received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for both the hotel and our dining room. Our dining room has also received the DiRoNa Award, and Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, every year. From our world-class fine dining, our amazing rooms, personalized service, our fun new bar and grill, to the limitless experiences and activities Manitou Springs has to offer: we are confident that you will love your stay here... and what a story you'll have to tell! We're proud of our history. Come share yours with us! We're within ten minutes of downtown Colorado Springs, but (rest assured) a world away! ... more   less
