This B & B was a highlight of our time visiting several National Parks in the area. After a long day exploring the cliff dwellings in Mesa Verde, our cabin, The Lakehouse, was such a welcome spot to "come home" to. Our kids had so much fun paddling the canoes around the little lake in front of our cottage and... More

We stayed here with our two 9 and 10 year old grandchildren. It couldn't have been more perfect. The lake with canoes and biting fish made their visit and the peaceful accommodations made ours. Peggy and Lee were very welcoming and we had everything we needed and more. We really hope to return.

A stunning property with beautiful, well appointed cabins and a gorgeous larger house. Art and antiques, gardens and wildlife, peace and quiet, fishing and canoeing - this place went above and beyond our expectations and was our favorite stay on our trip. The owners Peggy and Lee were awesome and made sure that everything was perfect for our family. We... More

Four of us stayed in the lake house at Willowtail Springs earlier this year when we were out west for 2 weeks. This was by far our favorite place! The house was roomy & well equipped. The location was PERFECT! We stayed 2 nights and wished we had planned to stay more. The owners, Lee and Peggy, are amazingly welcoming... More

Although this was the most expensive stopover on our Road trip, I really think it is worth the money. We stayed in the Bungalow, which overlooked the lake, and you really could just spend hours listening to the various birds in and around the lakeside. This place is set well away from any main roads, so you really get a... More

We rented the Lake house and relaxed there for 3 nights. The kitchen is well equipped and the first floor is spacious. I was surprised that although there are 3 bedrooms there is only one full bath. That would be the weakest point about the house. We liked all the other aspects. This place is really off the road but... More

We booked Willowtail Springs so we could be near various archaeological sites, and it sounded like a pleasant spot. Instead, we found ourselves so tied to the Abode that it was sometimes hard to go off to Mesa Verde and the other sites (by the way, for those interested in the Anasazi sites, even Chaco, you couldn't find a more... Stayed four nights in the bungalow. Lovely location and outlook onto the pond / lake. Very convenient for Mesa Verde National Park and not too far from Durango, though Mancos and Cortez are more convenient for dining / provisions. Good facilities in the cabin and some useful catering provided, eg. Granola, eggs, bread, fruit, milk, coffee. Hadn't realised the bungalow... More

This is our second tine to stay at Wiilotail Springs! We love staying here because it is in such a secluded location, but not so far from Durango and Mancos! Additionally the place is just lovely with beautiful gardens and views of the mountains and the pond! We felt so rejuvenated by our stay!

We made a stop at Willowtail Springs this summer on our Colorado road trip. This place is heavenly and a great place to relax and unwind. Peggy and Lee make you feel so welcome. We stayed at the Lake House and is was just right for our family. The fresh eggs, bread, jam, fruit and coffee to make your own... More
