As several have mentioned before, this park is under new ownership. The new owners are working hard to turn an old park into a great updated facility. The spaces are generously sized and well spaced. Lots of room to get your rig parked just right to enjoy some great views of Mesa Verde, just across the highway. This place has... More

We rented a cabin for one night in August and enjoyed our stay there. Our 12 & 13 year old kids loved the pool - it's pretty small, but warm (heated!) and clean, and it has a brand new liner, and a great view of Mesa Verde. There is a covered area near the pool to stay out of the... More

We were visiting Mesa Verde for the first time and were looking for a reasonably priced campground that could accommodate our 40 foot motor home with a pull through site. Prior to heading towards Mesa Verde from Monument Valley, I began to research campgrounds on the internet. We were looking for a park close to the Mesa Verde park entrance.... More

We stayed for 3 nights and had some friends join us for 2 nights. The owners were friendly and very accommodating. The bathrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen and so were the grounds. They had a hot tub which we were exited about and it was hot. There is a great rec room with a TV tables chairs... More

We pulled in here hoping to find some nice level sites. Traveled with another family both with 30ft RV's. The new owners were very friendly. The website for this place doesn't do it justice. The pool and mini golf are nice touches. Kids enjoyed them before the Thunderstorms hit. They also have a tv and game room. Showers for the... More

The cabin was comfy, quiet, clean. It was close to Mesa Verde Nat. Park entrance-basically across the road. The city of Cortez is just a few minutes away, with nice restaurants and stores. The owners real very nice and friendly, and made improvements to the property already. Definitely a place I will stay again.

We were not sure when we would get there so we only booked it the day of and since we had called prior to the trip and then, it had changed owners. One would not have known if they didn't tell you. The campground is directly across from the Mesa Verde National Park entrance. They have a pool that my... More

Carol and Dale are the new owners - knowledgeable, extremely friendly and making daily improvements. They live on-site so you're guaranteed a very pleasant experience and help if you need it. The restrooms and showers are spotless and roomy, very good location right across from the entrance to Mesa Verde NP, very nice sites. There is a hot tub, swimming... More

Arrived in the mid afternoon and were greeted by the new owners of the campground. Had a nice chat with them about the campground and then made our way over to our tent site. The site had a covered area for our tent, picnic table and a fire pit with two types of covers you can use to cook on... More

So based on the events of our stay, keys locked in car and violent windstorm forcing us to leave early, youd expect a poor review! However the management/owners could not be more helpful and down to earth! They called AAA offered us coffee, and offered upgrade to a cabin in the storm! The camp is Directly across from Mesa verdeNP... More
