We recently traveled throughout New Mexico and Colorado, staying at several places during the trip. Sundance Bear was our first B&B and by far the best place we stayed during the entire trip. The grounds and view are just amazing, and the warm welcome we received from Bob and Sue was genuine and made us feel right at home. They... More

Stayed with friends in the Lodge for 2 nights where there are two rooms with a great room which we had all to ourselves. This place is extraordinary. They are on 80 stunnng acres with a beautiful pond and views to die for. Hosts were terrific and made us feel right at home. Why would anyone stay in a roadside... More

We had not stayed in a b&b before, and were very pleased with the experience. The only problem we had was the room we stayed in, the Mancos Room, was somewhat small and was too hot to sleep in until the middle of the night. Therefore would NOT recommend anyone stay in that room during the summer. Everything else was... More

Outside temps those two nights were about 55-60F and the Mancos room has a ceiling fan so it is normally not a problem. There was no cross breeze then and the room was slow to cool down. We didn’t know until they left, but immediately purchased a small portable window fan for the room to “help the breeze” should that... More

We had a lovely one night stay at the lodge in the larger of the two rooms. The lodge was a scenic drive up the valley from Mancos where we enjoyed a good supper in a family style restaurant. Sundance Bear lodge was beautifully situated with stunning views in every direction from every room. Our host made us very welcome and... More

This B & B was one of the highlights of our holiday. The owners were warm, welcoming and informative about the area. The house was beautiful and guests have the grounds outside to explore (or in my case, lounge about in). Guests also have the lounge /dining area to take advantage of and how pleasant it was to slump down... More

Sue and Bob have created a wonderful welcoming B&B. Excellent lounge and dining room, deck, and hot tub. Great conversation over a magnificent breakfast. Great selection of books etc on local travel and history. Plenty of space to walk around and enjoy great views. Great location for driving the amazing San Juan Skyway. The only drawback could be that eating... More

This lodge has it all- beautiful views, good food, snacks, friendly & helpful hosts, a hot tub, places to hike, friendly cats & a very comfortable great room. The great room lives up to its name. It is a large, attractive, comfortable room with a fireplace, views of beautiful Colorado, games, TV, and reading materials about the region. While our... More

This was a great stay. I have read all the previous comments, and its hard not to repeat all the nice things said before, as they are all true. I would recommend Sundance Bear without hesitation -- even if you don't consider yourself the Bed and Breakfast type -- give it a shot, you will be suprised how this kind... More

We stayed at the Sundance Bear Lodge in the Mesa Verde room for two nights. Two of our friends also traveled with us and stayed in the guest house. We all really enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay there again. The hosts were so friendly and courteous. Everything was very clean, the room was very roomy, the bed very... More

The Sundance Bear lodge was an amazing experience. Bob and Sue were so friendly and provided many amenities, along with a wonderful full breakfast with Sourdough pancakes, fresh strawberries and bacon. We felt so comfortable here, and our room, the Mancos room was extremely cozy and included a private bathroom with body wash from bath & body. Bob and Sue... More
