This is our second trip to Sundance Bear Lodge, we love staying in the cabin - three different porches with three different views. One for the morning coffee, watching the sunrise hit the grand mesa. One in the evening to enjoy your wine and cheese, while watching the setting sun light up the eastern mountain ranges. And the upper deck... More

Thanks so much for the kind words! We didn't know you had enjoyed the wines of Guy Drew -- one of 2 wineries in our county -- and one of several on the Western Slope of Colorado. What a great place to visit! More

We had one night in the cabin and wished we could have stayed longer. Homely and well furnished, with all sorts of utensils for cooking, a BBQ set, etc. Sue, Bob and their pets really added to the homely atmosphere, with fantastic views. I will certainly be back should I be near the Mesa Verde National Park again.

We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay with Bob and Sue. Our room in the main house was very comfortable. The B & B is a little out of the way but easy to find. The setting is quite and laid back. Bob is well versed on all the local attractions and helpful in planning trips to see the... More

Agree with almost everything said - Bob and Sue are wonderful and welcoming. We stayed in the main house where we felt as though we were guests in their home - but as others mentioned they live downstairs and certainly do not crowd or impose themselves. Morris the cat lead us to our room and was a gem. One review... More

We had a long drive from Denver and when we found this great B&B - it was a wonderful welcoming surprise! We were greeted by their 2 big friendly dogs and found a beautiful big log cabin. Our room was in the back and wonderful and fully stocked with all the necesities and a great view all around. We drove... More

The only negative thing to say about this place was that it was difficult to find as it is located in the middle of nowhere but this is a plus as it is very quiet and peaceful, yet 10 minutes from Mancos,20 minutes from Cortez where we went to see the indian dancing and 20 minutes from Mese Verde National Park... Thanks for the kind words! Yes, rural Colorado is "out in the middle of nowhere." We are only 4 mi. out of Mancos but to a visitor it will feel like 10, especially after sunset. Morris (our cat) believes it is his job to welcome lodge guests; if you love cats, he loves to be with you. If you don't... More

My wife and I spent two nights here on our honeymoon. We stayed in the Log Cabin, which is a detached building off of the Main Lodge. The cabin is described as "self-cater." There's a fridge, four-burner stove with oven, full sink, coffee maker, and a full compliment of cooking utensils. You can get breakfast in the main lodge for... More

Happened upon the Sundance Bear Lodge by a happy accident and had a wonderful experience. Delightful accommodations, gracious hosts, superb breakfast. Owners make sure you feel the home is "your own" and also loved Morris the cat as a nice new friend.
