Then you'll love the Delaware. Our room was overly crowded with antiques (barely room to walk around them), and on top of it, they clashed. Everything had price tags on it, even the lamps. Also, the bathroom was dirty (there was a conspicuous brown smear on the wall near the toilet). I requested a room with a view - don't... more

Delaware was old and funky as advertised - Small room, somewhat cramped - This was ok for a period hotel, but - No hot water in the morning!!!! Beware more

It is a historical hotel where Doc Holiday and Billly the Kid stayed. The lobby is filled with items to sell, much like a flea market. The rooms are tiny. The staff is helpful. The town is quirky with lots of old mining cabins that have been restored and painted in very lively and eye catching colors. Great Mexican food... more

The Delaware Hotel is a quaint, historic hotel located directly on the main street of Leadville. The rooms are comfortable and have been modestly restored. The rooms are all different and ours had a four-poster bed with antique furniture and modern bathroom. It was like staying at grandma's house. The hotel was quiet and conveniently located. The lobby is full... more

We chose the Delaware Hotel due to its history and character, as described in these reviews. Based on the reviews, I was expecting far more clutter and kitsch than we actually encountered. We did not find the "flea market" to be at all annoying, but rather just part of the overall quirkly ambiance of Leadville.. A stay at the Delaware... more

We chose the Delaware because it is different - a hotel with history dating back to the mining boom years. The hotel was well located in the main street, rooms were clean and the staff friendly. The hotel boasts antiques throughout, including the rooms, and has a rustic charm. However, for the price the rooms are rather cramped and despite... more

all of the "stuff" for sale..... Upon check-in, I had difficulty finding the front desk because of all of the clothing racks. I finally went between two of them and found it. The hotel itself is gorgeous, historical and could be a fabulous gathering place such as the Driskell in Austin, Texas. I have never stayed in a place that... more

I spent the night at the Delaware Hotel in Leadville this week, what a treat! The location was perfect for strolling around town and taking in the shops and restaurants. My room was spacious, and beautifully decorated with antiques and quilts. The staff was friendly, the shop downstairs is worth several stops to take it all in! Breakfast was included,... more

This hotel would be so much nicer if they cleared out all the clutter, sorry antiques! It was nice to stay in a really old place, and I know they are trying to run a business by selling antiques, but there is just way too much stuff. The room itself was small but clean and adequate for one night's stay,... more

My wife and I stayed in this hotel 10 yrs ago on our honeymoon and thought it was really neat because of the very old-fashioned, yet clean, ambiance. This time, on our 10th anniversary, we found the hotel lobby, hallway, and even our room to be a giant junk/antique store. Seriously, every inch of space was filled with something for... more
