We spent two nights at the Delaware and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We did have a couple of unfortunate occurrences, but they were addressed promptly and with courtesy, so I really have no major complaints. Our family of 6 (3 adults, 1 senior, 1 teen, 1 child) stayed in the suite on the 2nd floor and had more than... More

I read what other reviewers were saying about this hotel - and kind of agree with most of them - but here is my take... This is a very old western hotel. Yes, some of the decorations are odd (like silk flowers in the old sinks in the hallways (which are accurate for the period since people used to share... More

We stayed two nights at the Delaware and it was a kick. Our room was well appointed and had its own bathroom as all the rooms do. We loved the old flooring and stairs creaking beneath our feet. The place is full of interesting antiques and older furnishings which add to its appeal. You can imagine what it was like... More

This is certainly an unique hotel property. The room was an adequate size, and the room decor was an excellent representation of the time period of the hotel. The main complaint I have is the room arrangement along with the sink and bathroom. The sink was placed inside the room (separate from the bathroom), and usually I like that arrangement.... More

We visited Leadville with our son and his girlfriend and got the largest room in the hotel. Accomodations are quite nice considering the age of the hotel. The effort to make the guests feel as if they are experiencing the hotel in it's heyday is quite good. Due to the age of the hotel there are some quirks, like the... More

This place would be great for a museum, not a place to stay. The rooms were tiny, showers no bigger then an RV shower. No refrigerator either, of any size. Service was bad and staff quite rude. The hotel has incredible history and antiques, and worth walking through. But not a stay with convenience, especially for the price per night.

We don't mind climbing the stairs, the slanted floors or a window that doesn't close. The room was comfortable and clean, but the bed has seen better days. The dark halls were lined entirely with pieces of antique furniture, I wasn't sure if we were in an antique store, a museum or a hotel. They were interesting, but the overall... More

If you love antiques this place is for you, it is crammed full of them, me? ... not so much, turns out I like modern conveniences like hair dryers, in room coffee, air conditioning and elevators! For you mountain biker types the steep stairs in this place will be no problem but at around 10,000 ft elevation a room on... More

We came to Leadville to find my Great Uncle Michael buried at St Josephs Catholic Cemetery. Great Uncle Michael was miner in Leadville who was killed in a mining accident in 1902. G Uncle Michael lived in Leadville from 1897-1902. Decided to stay at Delaware Hotel for one night. Nice place cozy and warm. Very historic and right downtown. Not... More

I only stayed for one night but thought the service was great. The room was definitely dated but thats what its like in a 100+ year old hotel. It was somewhat creepy because the hallways are pretty dark filled with antique furniture and memoribilia. But there is a 12-ft Santa Claus on the second floor that really spooked me!! I... More
