The spaces were not marked well at all We had to get out several times to look at the spaces to find our spot. Restrooms were nice but smelled They do not have wifi. The view is stunning however. Was there the end of August the weather was 36, refreshing. Nice but will not go back. ......What is the weather... More

Made reservations with skepticism based on previous reviews. Arrived Friday afternoon departed Sunday afternoon. It's a small place but enough room to not be on top of each other. Couldn't have been more pleased. Close to Leadville!!! Very clean and warm bathrooms with private dressing area. Nice folks who work there. Not far from Turquoise Lake. Some of the grass... More

This place is minutes from Leadville on the road to Turquoise Lake. Surrounded by the views of the majestic Rocky Mountains and smack dab in the middle of the "14'ners." The grounds are clean and the pads are fine whether you get the cement rows or not. We stayed in 46 and we were able to wrap our 30' around... More

This place seems like it was built 40 - 50 years ago, and was likely a good place then - it is still the best place in town. It appears to my untrained eye that not much has been done recently. This campground could be great with a small budget, and some work. This is a family owned and operated... More

Eleven of us reserved three campsites (tents). The area was great given its proximity to Leadville, CO and Turquoise Lake. However, the sites are too close together. We were right on top of our neighbours, which took a lot of the "country" feel that camping is supposed to foster. The site layouts were also sub-par, with fire pits abutting tent... More

We did not choose this location; we were part of a group who reserved several sites at this campground. I give it an average rating but lean toward poor because of cramped sites, poorly located fire pits, and tall grasses in each site. As an experienced RVer, we expect summertime to be busy and crowded but this was end to... More

We were quite disappointed when we arrive at such a great place for a campground. The sites so crowded together you were literally on top of the next camper. No privacy, we were in site 50 which is just behind the store and office. Grass all overgrown, playground with nails sticking out of the equipment, unkempt look to the whole... More

Busy, typical of a commercial campsite. Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean bathrooms, hot showers. Close to Turquois Lake and the Mineral Belt Bike Trail. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Great place to stay. Clean, friendly staff, tent sites have all what you need(flat to keep level for your tent, fire pit, shade). Met nice campers! Came for bike race and was afraid won t be able to sleep after 10:00pm, but was super quiet. I ll be back for sure!

This was our second time coming to Sugar Loafin! It was just as great as we remembered. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. The owner came and visited us on many occasions. He is very friendly and cares about your stay. This park is great for ATV/UTV riders. You can ride to trials straight from the park. This area is... More
